How to quit the game?

I don't see any key-binding or it listed anywhere

Edit: Just in case. Hit escape Go to the Load, Save, etc tab and scroll down. Seriously, don't mind the 20+ people who will post saying this has been answered x amount of times, do a search blah blah blah. They are just unhappy souls who have become lost on the way to Shamagoo.

Alternatively you can open console ( ~ ) and type 'qqq' and it will exit to desktop. For me it's faster as I don't have to navigate the annoying UI that always opens at the quest journal for whatever reason.

You and I both know this is a topic that gets...out of control sometimes. Its even worse than the Thalmor or the Sadia vs Alikr Debates.

I think it just amazes some of us that people don't try to scroll down on a PC game menu. But I try to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are using controller.

Yeah, it's really crappy. I've gotten so used to having Alt-F4 built into my modded LE experience that I just can't get over how much of a pain it is to exit from the system menu every time in the Wabbajack modpack I installed for SSE. I should really look into fixing that.

Yeah, I know. But playing PC games with mouse for so long scrolling down is just a natural instinct, for me anyway. But, maybe less instinctive for people using controller and/or newer to PC gaming.

In order for alt + f4 (and any other keyboard hotkey/multimedia key) to work, you need this mod:

I tested it at 1.5.97, 1.6.353, and currently at 1.6.640.

In LE this problem also occurs, it's one of the fixes included in "OneTweak", you probably had it installed.

a more fancy advanced way of quitting the game because we're too good to use menus is

open console command window
type
qqq
enter
congrats the game is now closed.

I'm a simple man, I scroll down 2 or 3 lines and select Quit. Simple.

The universal alt+f4 always works in every game!
