Marked For Death and Companions Insight
In early companion-less playthroughs I used Marked For Death frequently. Later when having companions around, particularly Essential ones (Serana) I'd hit them with the shout and essentially make their armor negative as MFD is permanent.

Does Companions Insight prevent the Marked For Death debuff from affecting companions?

The wording on it makes me think no. It sounds like it just prevents damage, and debuffs can still land.

I haven't tested, but I think you could find out for sure with Soul Tear and like...Sven. If he drops dead from having max hp lowered, then debuffs still land.

That's what I'm worried about. I just got Companions Insight so give me 20 to get out of the dungeon and I'll see what happens with Sven

Edit: Soul Tear won't affect Sven when he's a follower now I already have Companions Insight. I need a place to run my companion into combat so see how they survive, then reload and hit them with MFD

The Unofficial patch makes Marked For Death temporary.

Thank you. I was just about to post about how I shot my companion with arrows until they fell, reloaded then hit them with MFD a few times and shot again and it took the same amount of hits.

I am using UESSP so this tracks.
