Free Skyrim special edition with legendary physical copy?

I bought a physical copy of the Skyrim Legendary edition for my PC a few years ago and was wondering if I could still get the Special Edition.

From what I understand, the physical version requires you to register the product (correct me if I'm wrong). If that's the case you should be eligible.

I bought the disc version of skyrim and it require steam, as far as pc goes. the disc version for pc wasn't, to my knowledge, ever made without steam. everyone who has entered a steam skyrim key into steam and has all dlc will get the new version free.

All legit PC copies of Skyrim indeed require Steam registration to play. If you have an unused key, now would be a good time to activate it.

yeah I got the same thing and it says this game will unlock in 11 days it doesn't have a price to buy the game early so yeah the game is free because all legendary copies of skyrim had to go through steam therefore you have it on steam as long as you put in your code.

so if you haven't entered in your skyrim key into steam I would do so before the game releases, though wording on store page says day of is still good enough to get TES V: SKYRIM SE. make sure that key is entered.

Did you register it on steam? If you did, then yes. If not no.
If you register it before October 28th then yes, you'll get it for free.
