Game zoomed in on start

I launch the game from SKSE. The game starts. It's zoomed in to the top left corner.
I went into SkyrimPrefs and changed the resolution to my monitor's specifications. It now runs in the left hand side of my screen.

I cannot run the game from Steam because it has not updated to Anniversary Edition yet. I refuse to let it. I ensure it sits in my downloads queue forever.

Help me, please.

I should mention I'm launching SKSE from Vortex.

I seem to have found a solution. I went into Documents > My Games > Skyrim Special Edition and deleted my SkyrimPrefs.ini as well as my Skyrim.ini. And then relaunched the game. It opened in a window.

The game made a new version of both these ini files.
I went into the new SkyrimPrefs and set bFull Screen to =1

Yeah. It does create new files for you.

If you want more control over them, then you could try recreating them with BethINI.

I don't know what you're talking about. It did create a new SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini.
The subtitles were turned off when I went in. Part of those ini files.
