Screenshots taken this way will appear in your Users/Videos/Captures folder.
I haven't tried it out yet, but would putting it in borderless window fix this problem?
Well, I don't. :)
Here is what you need to do.
Go c:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim.ini
Find this:
[Display]
bAllowScreenshot=1
and make sure it is set to 1, not to 0.
Now launch the game and press Print Screen.
Now go here:
c:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\
and there will be your screenshots with filenames:
ScreenShot0.png
ScreenShot1.png
ScreenShot2.png
and so on.
Bingo!
Also when you press Print Screen - there will be a message in the upper left corner of the screen. If there is not - it means you have bAllowScreenshot=0.
If I use F12, I have to;
1. Find the image (it's not automatically on my clipboard like Printscreen is)
2. Either adjust it in a secondary app to copy it, or drag and drop from it's location (which isn't convenient)
AND THEN
3. I can finally post it.
I'd rather somehow hack printscreen into working than deal with the asinine F12 system, thanks.
That's just the same as pressing F12; too many damned steps instead of just being able to press printscreen and have it be on my clipboard.
Be glad you weren't using programms in the eighties..... then you would understand what inconvenient is.
Sorry but I'm not finding any sympathy for you, not even finding empathy.
this is not a huge inconvenience.
why do you feel the need to defend substandard functionality?
