Evil is subjective.
To me the DB is similar to a gun, a knife, or any other weapon. It's the person who contracts the DB to kill someone who is the true good or evil just as the person holding the weapon is good or evil. If no one wanted anyone dead, the DB wouldn't exist.
And one could make an argument that the LD is also evil then, as he does a lot of killing when fetching things and just in general. Unless one sneaks thru every dungeon and doesn't kill every bear, wolf and other creature he comes up against, there's some evil in him.
LD?
You mean the hero of the game, that would be the DB (Dragonborn).....
And that arguement is sophistry, a gun does not choose to fire, a knife does not choose to slice or stab.... but an ASSASSIN CHOOSES TO KILL FOR MONEY..... that negates any arguement for good, it leaves moral neutrality as a possibility, but nothing good.
