Quest - "A threat from the past" - what is this from?
I have a quest names " A threat from the past" and I don't really want to get into spoilers much, but I can't for the life of me figure out what mod or creation club item added this.

I've google searched and nothing seems to pop up using wither the quest or a couple of the people involved in it so far.

Thanks.

it's not part of the Cause is it?
without details all people have is memory, and without some hints that isn't going to work....

Use SPOILER tags (formatting at the bottom tells you how) as this is what they are there for.

Makes sense, sorry.

So the quest started by being attacked and then having you talk to Maven Black Briar asking about a Tyenian Laemiane. She says he needs to be dealt with but doesn't know where he is. Eventually I stumbled upon what appeared to be a Psijic mage telling me he was in Blue Water Cave. Went there and it was a very odd cave with a weird blue light and lots of vampires. Very puzzle like. Eventually found him in Blue Water Temple after going thru a portal or something. Was suppose to go back to Maven but had to stop and reload before I started the cave because I couldn't figure out how to get out. The cave also had a forge and shrine to Molag Bol
Ok not ringing any bells, so not a creation club mod....
I've tried the Names you have given.
Blue Water Cave appears to be a vanilla location, might or might not have been changed.
The other names don't give anything useful..... sorry.

It's defiantly a mod, though I don't know which one, but that quest, location and NPC do not exist in the vanilla game or any creation.

Blue Water Cave is not a vanilla location, are you maybe thinking of Bronze Water cave?

Yah, I'm thinking it's a mod, but for the life of me I can't figure out which one.

I guess I'll keep trying to figure it out.

I looked it up, and got results that didn't refer to a mod..... I'll go back amd double check

Ok, the results I got refer to a real world cave..... didn't realise until I got to photos of a guy swimming

I figured it out. Someone explained i could check using the console and it told me what mod it was from, which was an alternate start mod. Weird, but when I removed it the quest disappeared too so that was it.

I Just found this quest, my character was attacked by Tyenian anyway. I just downloaded 3 mods, more patrols, Easier Riders dungeon pack and an add on to live another life that I never used before.

I am thinking it is from the dungeon pack. I started the game using the 'I was mistaken by the A'Likr' start, but the guy that questioned my character was kinda cheesy and no other Redguards questioned her. I am positive the more patrols mod did not add it.

When I get to Riften I will actively pursue this ques and see.

I wonder if this quest can even be finished. I get to the flaming door or wall or whatever and it seems to just be done.
