ALSO please note that skyrim bakes data into saves, so if you remove mods you will need to start a new game, or load a save from before you added the mods (if you have one)
even IF they are compatible a lot of mods do the same and if they playing nice together (I doubt it) it's still a big performance hog
Have the same name for Skyrim SE to. More info here. This is the version I use for OpenCitys.

No one has asked you to check your crash logs, if you don't know how.
Open skyrim.ini locate
[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS = 500.0
bEnableLogging = 1
bEnableTrace = 1
bLoadDebugInformation = 1
Change the values to this, start the game and all you have to do is crash. Once you crash, locate the last mod in the log which was there after your game exploded.
Uninstall the mod or check to see if the mod requires a patch, if it's a script mod follow the uninstall instructions left by the mod author, save then use a script cleaner.
Run loot, play the game see if it crashes again, rinse and repeat.
Also sometimes crashing is a result of previously uninstalling a mod and not running the script cleaner, run it and see if there are any problem files.
Papyrus is a script debugging tool, and is only of any use once you know which mod is causing the crash, and even then only for a very limited number of circumstances.
(Technically it's scripting log, used under specific circumstances to tell which script is running just before a crash. NOT A CRASH LOG, it doesn't technically that the scripts involved cause the crash, because it can just be coincidence)
OP please feel free to ignore people telling to open the crash logs, only listen to them if they give you a solid reason why papyrus might help you.
Yea, feel free to ignore me and listen to the guy with a picture of an Ape scratching his head lol.
You know you guys have been at this for two days now, his problem still isn't solved. Let him choose what he wants to do, i'm giving him alternatives.
However if you want to challenge me on the facts I provided, that might be better, although I'm pretty solid on what Papyrus is, and why it isn't a crash log.
he can also travel to the moon, drive with his car in the sea or play fortnite. everything is an alternative but nothing of them is relevant for troubleshooting his problem. the same counts for your advices.
just because the mod X is the last one papyrus used, doesnt mean is the ones who crashed the system
as simplified analogy here:
imagine you have a driver failure on your PC which crashes the system. but the last application you had opened was MS word, does this mean that word is the culprit of the crashes? probably not, but OP would in your "alternative" remove MS word.
next day, the PC is crashing again and the last app was steam. therefore remove steam, right?
like I say, removing mods randomly hold most likely the same effect.
(btw I just removed my post, because alexander wrote basically the same and I was too slow)
Hey, i understand humour i'm laughing you just can't see me.
Grumpy it's an epic rap battle everytime i come on this forum to help, i'm not here for you or the ape scratching his head, i came to help the guy above. Again it's a solution that has worked for me and many others, again it's his choice to take my advise or leave it.
