Is it safe to upgrade to anniversary edition mid-game?
I have all my mods updated to the AE, and i've been thinking of upgrading, but i'm not sure if i could continue playing like nothing, or if it would not work because of bugs.

So, basically, yes, i have the latest version of the game, but i'm not sure if i can upgrade my game and still play the saves i'm currently playing.

Have anyone been in this situation? And even if not, any advice? I really don't want to start all over again.

If you already have the AE DLC, there is nothing to upgrade to. If you are referring to the current base game version 1.6.353 - that is just SE, NOT AE - AE is just the DLC you can buy. If you wish to add the AE DLC, you should be perfectly fine - provided none of your mods conflict with any of the Creation Club content included in the AE DLC - and, more than likely, they will not. And the saves can still be used, as it is still the same Special Edition game - just with the AE DLC installed.

Just to be clear, its not a game upgrade, AE is just a massive DLC bundle that can be purchased on Steam.

Installing AE DLC is the same as installing and removing any mod. Just keep in mind that like most mods you cant remove AE DLC from a save file (it adds A LOT of stuff) and then expect that same save file to not go kaput after some time.

Make sure to look up the content of AE to see if you think its worth the price.

This was actually confusing me as my game was updated to 1.6, yet everyone on nexus is regarding that as the AE update. And I sure as ♥♥♥♥ did not buy that dlc pack. Glad to see that it's just separate.

Worry about playing Old Saves? why? If you did it once, you can do it again, usually better the next time.
