Dawnguard - Isran Bug

So i have completed Awakening and Bloodline, i was talking with Harkon, got banished from the castle. The quest says that i have to come back to Isran, i have no mark on the map and vampire attack doesn't occur. Can any1 help? I don't have previous saves, only the one from Helgen :(

What vampire attack? Like when you go back to Fort Dawnguard? Yeah sometimes the game just bugs out and doesn't give quest markers and other times it's intentional.

Question, did you fast travel from the Castle to the Fort without taking the little boat back to the mainland?

If you did that's probably what caused it, for whatever reason that often bugs out the game and doesn't start the next quest.

Though how do you not have any saves, the game auto saves when you fast travel can't you go back to that one?

You need to start making manual saves in order to avoid the predicament you're finding yourself in right now.

Yeah I agree you shouldn't just rely on a single save.

Yeah i took the boat back. I use fast saving (f5), so most of the other ones are gone. That's why i can't come back

Yeah exactly this one, so there is no chance to fix that?

Well then it's just another bug, usually doesn't happen if you actually take the boat back before Fast Traveling. Your only solution if you can't load a save (Which you need to start doing) is console commands. Or starting a new game.

I Assume you don't want to start over right?
Type this into the console

Setstage DLC1HunterBaseIntro 20

That should start "A New Order" and prompt you to speak to Isran. And if you're concerned with achievements don't be, the console doesn't disable them despite the message.

I would do this away from Fort Dawnguard as well, go somewhere else before you try.

I always make quick, auto, and manual saves. Now people here recommend only using multiple manual saves. But since I CTD when I loaded a manual save, I'm skeptical. Sure maybe it's because I'm not using any bug fixing mods, but I think it's better to not use mods for a first playthrough. I know in Oblivion that quicksaves are prone to cause crashing, while in New Vegas autosaves do that.

Strange that even that didn't work. Well we have all had to start new runs by means other than our choice a few times. If nothing else now you have the chance to make manual saves this time.

Have you try to run outside the Castle around?As there are 3 Vampire Attacks 1 at the start near the Door where Isram Help you 1 later after you return from that Mission you have the bug that happen normal near the Water where is the Fishing point (you must run there a little bit Around as it can take time before they come) and the last Attack is when you are in the Cave to recover something dont remember what it was.
And to Saves disable all Auto Saves and dont use Quick save make always Manual Hardsaves before and after every main Quest or point in the Game where it make sense.If something goes wrong with your Saves Hardsaves can be repair and clean all other type of Saves not
