Activate Creation Club?
Once I activate everything in the Creation Club (Anniversary Edition), is it forever active? Or do I need to reactivate with every new game?
Thanks

Once you have downloaded and installed the AE DLC, all of the contents should be automatically enabled each time you start a new game.

There may be some that you’re prompted to activate or not such as Survival Mode which asks you on a new game start, but in general - as I understand it - once you have the CCs they’re there for good.

They’re not like regular mods that can be disabled/removed any time you want.

They're active until you uninstall the game. At that point you could choose to download them piecemeal, instead of pressing the 'download all' button for Anniversary Edition.

Good to know, thanks guys

The CC content from the AE DLC can be moved from the Data folder to a "backup" folder. I have done so since December 2021, and just restored content I needed or wanted in my playthrough. Do not move the content when you already made a save with the full DLC. Apart from the content from the update, I now only have Farming, Umbra and The Cause in my LO.

Just to clarify to avoid confusion - Survival Mode is part of the base game, along with Saints and Seducers, Rare Curios, and Fishing, so they are not CC content. OP is speaking of the AE DLC content, which is a bundle of 70 or so Creation Club mods.

Not always, sometimes you need to log into the creation club and download the mods.

Again? After they have already been downloaded once and installed? That doesn't sound correct to me.

They don't always download after you purchase the AE.
Hence "not always", there have been numerous threads on this forums where people didn't get the content after buying AE, the solution was to log in to the creation club and download it, usually by clicking on "download all".

Like everything Bethesda does, the AE doesn't perform quite as they say.

They don't always install properly the first time. Mostly yes but there are times they do not. I say that only because I've seen people have that problem although this has not happened to me in any of my reinstalls.

So -Once you uninstall the game you'll of course have to redownload the Anniversary Content. So if you do not uninstall/reinstall the game itself and simply start a new game: The content is there.

Well, the question was not "do they always download and activate as they should" - it was "once downloaded and activated, do I need to do so again" - for which, obviously, the answer is no - unless you uninstall the game.

Two different questions entirely.

I quoted his question. And answered it directly beneath the quote.

Yes, I am referring to Alex's response - which is indeed true (do they always download properly? No, not always), but which was not the OP's question.

Comon' guys! OP's question was plain and simple: "Once I activate everything in the Creation Club (Anniversary Edition), is it forever active? Or do I need to reactivate with every new game?"

Once CC content from the base update or from the upgrade (AE DLC) is in the Data folder, it is automatically activated and can't be deactivated by any means. The only way to deactivate CC content (only from the AE DLC) is to remove the mods from the Data folder and store it, preferably, outside the Steam folder system, to not have to download these again and again ("Download All"). The base CC content (4 CC mods) can't be removed as these are now an integral part of Skyrim SE 1.6.x. Why? Simply because you can choose to download individual, additional CC content one at a time, or download all at once.

or simply put
