Skyrim damage bug
For the third time now im discovering that my destruction spells do negative damage.
For some reason 2 times it happened after i found a bandit with daedric armor🧐.
Disabled mods tried console commands and it doesnt help, the only solution i have for now is to reload to an older save but it is very annoying because the older saves are like a day ago and its frustrating to go through everything i did again.

Hope you guys can help me resolve this issue 🚬🦄

just looking for a prema fix for this bug.
The data from Mods gets baked into saves, so if the problem was caused by a mod, loading a save from before the problem won't solve it (even with the mod disabled), because the data from the mod is still there.

As of now i dont really know why is this an issue but i will continue to look into it.
Well that at least allows you to continue, and since you can hit the armour cap even in light armour, you should be ok against enemies, just as long as you avoid heavy and daedric armour (most of which is heavy anyway)

For a longer term solution you need to identify which mod causes the problem, and remove it, but that only helps with a new playthrough

And did you start a new game afterword? Some changes are baked into the save file, meaning you can't remove them even if you remove the mod itself. Only by starting a new game, or loading a save from before the mod was installed.

If the change was baked into the save, the only perma fixes are loading a save file from before the change was made, or starting a new game.

Unfortuntely you aren't going to get any help here other than "give up and start over". Try over at the Nexus forums for better luck.

You can try, but it's how skyrim saves works so I don't think you'll get another answer there

I notice you didn’t actually give any help yourself other than saying “look somewhere else “…

Anyway … I’m afraid there’s not that many options for the OP.
You need to test and find out which mod is causing the problem and then remove it. But you have to restart from before the problem occurred because as others have said … the problem will be baked into your save.

We are here to help so it’s not a lost cause.

Start by posting your modlist to see if anyone can spot which mod it might be or at least help narrow it down.

You see … that’s the thing about modding the game … you’ve got to test to make sure everything works before you start actually playing. I do understand its tempting to add lots of mods but you can see the potential problems it can cause.

You do have the option to just ignore the problem if you don’t want to restart …
