Grass mod not loading properly...
Problem: https://imgur.com/a/0friA0x

I've installed Verdant and Northern Grass, same problem.

I've installed no other visual mods except for SFO, SMIM, Realistic Water Two, Immersive Roads and Ultimate Immersion SE ENB (Grass mod was installed at last).

skyrim.ini

[Grass]
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15
iMinGrassSize=100
bAllowCreateGrass=1
bAllowLoadGrass=0

skyrimprefs.ini

[Grass]
fGrassStartFadeDistance=1000.0000
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000

Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin SSE Version.ini

[Display]
fGlobalContrastBoost=-0.2
[Grass]
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15
iMinGrassSize=100

I don't know what more I can try! Does anyone know how to fix?

First, try these .ini settings:

skyrim.ini

[Grass]
bAllowCreateGrass=1
bAllowLoadGrass=0
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=35000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexture=15
iMinGrassSize=100

skyrimprefs.ini

[Grass]
fGrassStartFadeDistance=20000.0000
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=20000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000

These are the settings used in my game (except for the iMinGrassSize, which I have set to 60 for greater density, but with a hit on performance).

However, it looks like it may be a mod issue, as there should not be a sharp cutoff line right where the player is standing. If that is the case, please post your sorted load order so that we can get eyes on it. To post your load order, in the top left hand corner of LOOT under Game, choose Copy Load order and paste in the reply box here.

For Vortex users, Vortex keeps a .txt version of your mod load order here:
C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\loadorder.txt
Find it and then copy and paste it here.

Still not working... But I found one strange thing.

When I made a save where there was no grass and then reloaded the save, all of a sudden there was grass BUT only around me. When I get out of there, there is only dirt again.

Thanks for trying to help.

I assume you are using Vortex and nexusmods. If so it sounds to me like you need to adjust the rules. Sounds like there is a conflict. SMIM might be an issue with a grass mod. You can edit rules in Vortex fairly easily. All the way to the right on the mod line click the drop down and select manage conflicts. Pretty easy from there.

Not related to your issue, but Realistic Water Two.esp should be at the bottom of your load order, as almost all mods have water records - whether they actually have anything to do with water or not - and if they are after RW2 in the load order, they will overwrite RW2's records, causing seams and other errors.

As regards a reinstall, that might be a good idea. See this:

I would also suggest that you install Alternate Start - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/272
as it allows for easier testing since you can skip the opening sequence and start in a choice of locations around Skyrim,

Once you have done a clean reinstall, just install the Unofficial Patch and Alternate Start (if you choose that) and first check that the game starts and runs as it should and that the vanilla grass is rendering correctly. Once you have confirmed that, then install Verdant and see how it appears. If it appears as it should, make a save and then add mods in a few at a time. You can follow this general outline on how to go about it:

Let us know how things go. Good luck!

I just deleted everything and reinstalled manually. Now everything works fine, but thanks a lot!
