Question about a dawnguard overhaul mod before I try it?
Does anyone know if Immersive Fort Dawnguard by Grantyboy050 is a worthy mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40436?tab=description I don't want to mess up my game so This is why I ask before I gamble on a mod and hope for the best or mess up my skyrim se?

If you make a save before you download and enable the mod, you could easily uninstall or disable the mod and then go back to the save you created before you installed it. The mod is a textures replacer, so those can mostly be uninstalled safely, and you should be able to go back to the save.

Always good to ask when in doubt.

They following info is from the Immersive Fort Dawnguard mod page.

This mod is compatible with, but not dependent on, the following mods* by default or by virtue of a compatibility patch:

All re-textures of Fort Dawnguard and Dawnguard items.
Cutting Room Floor
Dawnguard Arsenal
DynDOLOD
ELnFX
Interesting NPCs
Inconsequential NPCs
Legacy of the Dragonborn
Live Another Life
Palaces & Castles Enhanced
Realistic Lighting Overhaul
Relighting Skyrim
Skyrim Project Optimization
Skyrim Wayshrines (SWIFT)

The following mods are compatible but Immersive Fort Dawnguard MUST be below them in your load order:

Blacksmith Forge Water Fix
Castle Volkihar Rebuilt
Embers HD
Immersive Dawnguard Dayspring Pass
Immersive Patrols
Realistic Water 2

Those are some of the most popular mods however because a mod is not on these 2 lists does not necessarily mean it's incompatible.

Like Lady Aeleanor says back up your save, give it a try.

Most conflicts can be resolved by tweaking load order (move the mod whose changes you want most below the conflicting mod).

I tried it once good mod, but not for me

Let me put it this way it is probably the best mod for an extensive Dawnguard play .... however in my case I do the questline and that's it. After that it takes several places in my load (main mod+ patches)

ok but what about questline breaking or crashing(ctd) or performance issues like going way too slow during gameplay? I had a player house mod that caused a huge dip in I think it's called ftp gameplay performance issue called Laboratorium by Moosmupfel so does this dawnguard cause crashing or ftp?

FPS. Frames Per Second. There's no guarantee about crashing. It might work fine on some people's systems and crash on others. However, that's doubtful if that would be pretty much the only mod you'd be using. I have a fair number of mods on my game, and I don't lose any FPS anywhere. And 2,500 hours of that gameplay? Zero crashes. And my video card is over 5 years old. 4k textures CAN have an effect on your FPS, so keep that in mind.

You should have the USSEP anyway. Even if you play strictly vanilla, you should have it. There are a lot of quest bugs that Bethesda never bothered to fix over the years. The modding community fixed a good number of these with the patch. Engine Fixes is a must along with that as well.
