DirectX 12/Windows 10 advantage for skyrim SE?
I had to install windows 10 to play Civ 6 and I pretty much hate it. I want to switch back to Windows 7, but I am concerned that it is a futile gesture and that the inexorable diminishment of support for 7 combined with all new features going to 10 will mean that I might as well get used to Windows 10 now.

What say you?

they have not re-written the game for direct x 12, all they did wass port it into Fallout 4's game engine. this means that it is now an 64-bit program along with some new speciasl effects found in FO4.

Im curious as to why you upgraded for Civ, their storepage says it supports windows 7 +

I agree with Shade, but since you already upgraded I say stick with it; at first was like wtf is this, but the more i dug into the more i started to like it. Can't see going back to 7 no way.

If you did not get WIN10 upgrade for free, well you must be a Milk drinker. Sticking with WIN 7 is fine if you have a hammer and chisel as an interface. Don't be an old coot, get with the times a little anyway.

I had zero problems with Windows 10 besides you could upgrade for free when it was released... I see no reason to stay with WIndows 7 or windows 8 since support for those 2 will be discontinued in 1-2 years(might be wrong when it will)

I upgraded to windows 10 the moment it became available and I have not had a single problem with it.

I didn't even bother waiting for Microsoft to make it available to me, I did a manual download. And I have had no regrets. Aside from a couple of problems with my Start menu, which was easy to fix, it's been rock solid. I'm actually running a dual boot system with Windows 7, since Windows 10 no longer supports Media Centre, but I have reason other than that to use the older OS. I spend almost all of my time with Windows 10.
