How to Uninstall Creation Club Content for Anniversary Edition?

I can't find it in the local files and it won't let me uninstall in "mods" section because it doesn't show up. Have gone into "Creation Club" section and there's no option to uninstall. I do not want all these mods pls help.

They are enabled by hardlock even with most mod managers, best option is to move the plugin files out of the Data folder.

First are you dealing with all 70 or so CC content? or just the basic four CC content that comes with the AE game?
either way it just means that you will be looking for a certain number of files. you will find All CC content in the Data folder of the Game. each CC file begins with the title of CC from CCa - CCv (example : ccafdsse001-dwesanctuary.esm) Each CC content has two files. either a ESM or ESL file and an BSA file. You will have to manually delete the files from the Data folder to remove the content from the game. Be warned the Four files that come with the AE version of the game when removed May cause problems with Proper Questing in the game. or Lead to Game crashes from Missing files. You may want to instead Use the Downgrade Mod available at Nexus Mods https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 It will downgrade the game from AE to before the AE version was released.

Also for instance the free horse armor is not present as a separate plugin, but rather in update.esm

Verification of Files will reinstall missing files. which would also mean you would need to do a New Game start.

yeah that is what I did, open data and drag the junk out.

Ok, thanks. I think I know what to do, but I'm not sure if I have all of them because I haven't gone out of my way to download additional content but I'm pretty sure i have way more than 4, because I have the Goldenhill plantation and Saints and Seducers and backpacks and forgotten seasons and horse armour and new armour and like a whole bunch more stuff I do not want. Is this normal?

The 4 items of new content - Saints and Seducers, Fishing, Rare Curios, and Survival - are an inherent part of the game just as are Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn - as such, they cannot be removed without breaking things in the game itself (though Survival mode can be disabled in the game menu). If you do not like them, then just ignore them, as you would any of the other built in DLCs or quests in the game. As for the AE DLC that can be bought that includes 70 CC items, just don't install it - or, as others have said, remove the content from data folder (though should you validate the files or the game update, Steam will add them back in if you had installed the AE DLC).


With regard to downgrading and using current CC content, it is strongly NOT recommended.

As to using Best of Both Worlds downgrader which states that you can use current CC content with the old .exe, there is this

Okay thanks. so I've had to redownload skyrim as I uninstalled steam to remove malware, so should I just not accept the Custom Content prompt when it comes up? Will this exclude fishing and survival and stuff?

No such luck as SMR told you they are now part of the base game as for the other CC you are free to uninstall the just not the 4 that came with the 1.6 update

Yeah so that will come pre-installed and if I don't let it go through the lengthy process of installing everything else that won't affect the actual game (i.e. the four that come with it), right? I have tried to uninstall in-game and am not sure i can actually find the game files as when I tried to they didn't come up. I'll check again though.
