Can't Finish Hide & Seek Quest with Gunmar

I cannot seem to find a solution to this anywhere. I have found a bunch of other questions in various places about Gunmar not giving quests, but absolutely nothing on him not allowing you to finish a quest. I was doing a Hide and Seek quest and I discreetly killed the traveling pilgrim by luring him away from prying eyes and now the quest says to return to Gunmar, but when I talk to him the only options I am given are selling to him, asking him for smithing training, or buying an armored troll. The quest marker is over his head, but he just won't let me finish this quest.... Has anyone else run into this or might have a solution to getting rid of this quest? (preferably a solution that is not a console command that disables achievements)

Console command DON'T disable achievements, only mods do. That said reload from before you started that quest first, if that doesn't work then use console commands.

If a reload does not work then
setstage DLC1RH01 255
will complete the quest.
