The "What's Working, What Isn't" Thread
It sucks when an update comes through and sends the mod community into a tizz, but in time everything usually calms down and what needs to get updated gets updated in most cases.

If you're a heavy mod user though, it may be time consuming to go through and check if mod x has been updated, needs updating, or if it's unaffected by the update and "safe" to keep using.

So, here's an idea to help the community as we move through this time period of updates: a community collaboration thread to alert others when a mod is updated, in need of updating, or doesn't require one.

What I'm asking from those who wish to contribute then is thus:

If you know a popular mod has been updated and is now good to go with game version 1.6.640 please list the name of the mod and say it's been updated.

If you know a mod NEEDS to be updated and will not function with the current game version, please list the name of the mod (and if you know anything regarding it's update status).

And finally if you are wondering if a mod is updated or needs to be updated, please list the name of the mod (and if you are someone who has the answer for that person be helpful and reply to them).

I will add to this list as the community generates feedback.

*Note* This is NOT a thread to complain, argue, or whine about updates/Bethesda/modders/etc or those who don't "safeguard" their game from updates, the intent behind this thread is to be helpful for those who want to know if they're good to go or need to wait, and what mods they need to keep tabs on for an update.

Suggestion, don't really need the "what's working" part, rather a compiled list of reported broken mods and underneath each one the solution if given.

2 Issues :
- skee64.dll
- Fuz Ro D'oh.dll

Starting game throws exception DLL has failed to load

This here. I've updated everything I could.
I disabled my MCM Helper, but A lot of mods are dependent on Racemenu. Is that all that is holding me back is an update is needed to it.

I figured I’d keep the “working” section to facilitate those looking for a quick answer rather than either checking Nexus/ModDB/whatever or running the “check for updates” prompt in something like Vortex (which can vary in how long that takes depending on # of mods and your internet connection).

Thank you for your contributions, FRD has already been accounted for and “skee64.dll” is RaceMenu.

@LIMpY

Working? Not working? Wondering if working?

Also, does anyone have any concrete feedback for SkyUI? I’ve been seeing mixed commentary on here, Nexus, etc that SkyUI is functioning normally and that it’s not and in need of an update.

One big problem, most SE era mods will never get "Updated" to work with AE so you will never be " Safe " just gotta back your SE up, Stop steam from auto updating and make sure you have steam open before starting SKSE up or wait for the Down grader to get a patch so you can downgrade the new updates. 1.5.97 will always be the one and only version worth running.

This thread isn’t to discuss your personal preference for keeping your game pre-1.6

The point of this thread is to keep those who are waiting for various mods to be updated for the newest 1.6.640 informed.

All mods listed thus far worked with 1.6.353 prior to the newest updates.

You may also want to check your facts. By now, most popular or heavily used mods that were made for SE were updated to work with 1.6.353 (or they never needed to be updated anyways).

Those that were not have been forgotten about, were niche mods that had a small number of users, were replaced by “AE” versions created by other modders, or were unfortunately abandoned by their creators who disappeared and had permissions closed.

While for me , SKSE64 worked fine before the update . now I can't get it to install one or another , so I've to live without it .

@All

FYI the mods listed in the OP are from my own personal load order, so please - if you use different ones that are awaiting updates or if you know of ones that were recently updated to work with 1.6.640 please contribute their names to add to either of the three lists.

EDIT: Checked LiMpY's contributions, added to the "need update" list

[Update]

- Added Moon and Stars, Faster HDT-SMP (previously incorrectly identified as "HDT-SMP" in the "needs updating" list, and Alternate Conversation Camera (a popular mod) to the updated/working list.

As said this is not the place to showcase your personal preference. What you post is not true at all. In no way shape or form is it "most"

Also, 1.5.97 is not ALWAYS be the one and only version worth running. Matter of fact that ship has already sailed. Some new mods are only compatible with 1.6.xxx and as time goes on these types mods will only grow in number.
