Best Skyrim follower?

Simple, who do y'all think is the best follower in Skyrim? For any reason. I would argue Brelyna Maryon, the Dunmer classmate at the College of Winterhold. This is Skyrim, armored warriors and archers are a dime a dozen, but mages are rare and valuable. I counted 6 mage characters available as followers, (7 if you count Serana) and Brelyna is my favorite of them all.
EDIT: I am focusing on permanent followers, completely forgot about Eola, (though I'd never want that monster!) and all the followers available through mods. If you choose a modded follower, please provide a link to the mod in question.

Lykios followers which are anthropomorphic wolfs basically anything furry related is good enough for me.

Brelyna caps at level 30, she isn't that good.

The Best Follower in the game is Frea, and that's not an opinion, it's a statistical fact.

Frea is Essential, Levels infinitely and dual wields weapons giving her greater damage output compared to most other followers.

It depends on the character. If your character can tank damage, Marcurio is a beast.
However, any follower is better than Aela and a couple of others that have that pushy encroaching AI.

I dislike followers when it comes to dungeon maps cause I have keep using shouts on them to move out of the way.

Now as for the best followers, Inigo gets top rating although villja isn't bad despite her annoying accent. Mirai and Auri are not bad with Mirai having the better quest line of the two.

I think it depends on what stage of the game you are at.
Frea is one of the best, but we can usually only recruit her after Miraak's questline, so mid/late game.

Early game, Faendal is probably the best: no money required, no fights, his quest can be done in less than a minute, his stats are better than Sven.

A mudcrab has better stats than Sven.

My choice is unpopular. I like Aela coz she is definitively best with archery and sneaking at the same time. There is just nobody with such skill set as strong as her.

By the way, is it possible to marry in the Game to someone who isn't your Follower, or does it actually have to be your Follower?

They do not have to be a follower to be married - they just need to be in the marriage faction.

What can you do with your Married Partner in Skyrim? Like besides them Moving into your House with you?

Can you Interact with them?
Can you Speak with them?
Do they walk around?
Can their Clothes be Changed?
Can you ever move them from House to House?
Do they ever meet others in Town?
Do they ever Interact with others in Town?
Can their Inventory Be Changed?
Do they ever leave the House & come back?
Or what?
Can you ever give them Jobs?
Can you ever ask them to do things around the House?

And how Complex is your Conversations,
do they only have 1 time Convos, or do they change their Convos from time to time?
