Unofficial Patch Fixes Brawl Bug? [SOLVED]

I mean - isn't it supposed to? Because it doesn't. I seem to recall having this problem before, but I can't remember whether I ended up getting the Brawl Bug Fix mod, or whether I found another fix.

Anyway, I just started a new play through, and was doing the quest to get Mikael to stop bothering Carlotta. I have the USSEP installed - but he still starts using his weapon. I have no enchanted armour or weapons, or anything that would trigger it. I just started, and I'm level 4.

I don't think it does, but I don't read the bug fixes in detail. I know Wildcat Combat includes it.

I know the xmpse skeliton mod includes the realistic ragdoll mod stuff. Those are 2 I know off hand and I look for when Troubleshooting mod lists people put up.

Well it isn't in the unofficial patch that said certain mods do have it incorporated such as wildcat.

I have Fought Mikael(twice), Uthgerd, the Riften Stables guy, and a person in Morthal and they all worked for me, I don't have the Brawl fix, only the patch.

As you say I am pretty sure it is supposed to, I think the Brawl Fix was Incorporated into the unofficial patch though not exactly sure.

In my previous play through, I was able to complete the quest, and all other Companion quests that involved brawling. Just can't remember what I did.

Well maybe you had at that moment a mod that had it incorporated.

I installed the Brawl Bug Fix and that made the difference. But, I looked on my other computer's Vortex mod list, and the Brawl Bug fix wasn't listed. <shrug>

As I said probably some other mod that had it incorporated .... there are several combat mods, magic overhauls, etc that have it incorporated.

Enhanced Blood Textures[www.nexusmods.com] and Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim[www.nexusmods.com] come with the Modern Brawl Bug Fix included.

Don't know what to say. I had already installed Enhanced Blood Textures, since I hate the cartoon blood. But it didn't stop the bug.

I've been using Wildcat for so long I can't really comment on EBT not working. I know EBT comes with the fix and I know the mod has been updated recently. That said, EnaiSiaion does say on his Wildcat mod page:

"Wildcat comes with a copy of the Modern Brawl Bug Fix included to solve this issue. If the issue still occurs, you may have the outdated Brawl Bugs Patch in your load order below Wildcat (either as a standalone mod or included with another mod such as Enhanced Blood Textures). Either remove it or add the Modern Brawl Bug Fix to the end of your load order."

So there are outdated versions and patches out there. I know Wildcat's brawl bug fix is working for sure.
