I wish Skyrim had hand-to-hand combat.
Some heavy or spiky gloves would be fine. In the previous games, including Daggerfall it's a good combat style. Is there a mod for it in Skyrim?
edit: I mean with perc tree and for any race

I also miss the athelics and acrobatics, my favourite skills in Oblivion. Skyrim has so many mountains, those skills should be more necessary than ever.

In the base game there is a perk in the heavy armor tree that boosts unarmed damage. In the Ratway in Riften there is a guy with enchanted bracers that boost unarmed damage (the only item in the base game with the enchantment).

There is also the Fearsome Fists Creation Club item, which adds in more of the bracers with enchantments to boost unarmed damage. Also includes more models of bracers (one for each armor type) with added bits like spikes and horns and things.

Still lacking a skill tree and proper perks, so it isn't as good as it could be.

Thank you! Sounds like a work in progress, but a good one already.

ordinator gives some perks for unarmed in the light armour tree. That combined with the gloves from the CC content and you've got a viable unarmed build.

I use the Alteration one from:

Unarmed Reworked - Balanced Gameplay

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18454

Works really well for me. I usually use a two handed staff for the early levels until I get Alteration going.

Additional Mods:

Unarmed Hotkey - MCM https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23134
Heart Breaker - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1847

There are spiked gloves in the AE dlc, they add bonus unarmed damage. Ideally you'd still want to play a Heavy Armor Khajiit though Argonians also have bonus unarmed damage just not quite as much. Even if you don't have the dlc you can still make an effective unarmed build using the "Gloves of the Pugilist" found in Riften's sewer, the are light gloves that have an unarmed boosting enchantment, so you'll want to disenchant them to learn it then enchant your own gear after getting some skill.

I have played a Heavy armor dragon punching cat, it's a pretty fun run, also unarmed cinematic kills are probably the best ones in the game.

it does have hand to hand combat

Thanks for all the replies, guys. The mods will help. I haven't found any unarmed build without mods that is as effective as armed in Skyrim. I've tried those items.

It has hand to hand, and some stuff that boost it like Kahjit claws and the heavy armour perc, and even finishing animations. But sadly no perc tree, and it builds no XP. Of course the heavy armour perc can be boosted with smithing and enchanting and get stronger and stronger that way. So there is a way to play the style in vanilla. But it´s a workaround.

The perk (Fists of Steel) only boosts the damage by the heavy armor bracers base armor rating. That is, the normal unaltered armor rating with no enchantments, perks, or anything. Which means it only ever adds from 10 points of damage (for iron) to 18 points of damage (for daedric).

But that's what I'm talking about, perc tree. In Skyrim you can't kill someone with hand-to-hand anymore. Well, you can, but it takes much longer than with weapons. And in the previous games hand-to-hand combat was able to kill almost equally.

You've not tried with a Khajiit then, as I mentioned I completed the game, at least the Main Quest with fists alone, and this was before the AE dlc which only made it easier. I clawed Alduin to death.

Khajiit have a total damage of 22 with their claws, to put that in perspective a deadric sword does 12. They don't scale however, eventually with tempering a deadric swprd will do much more than 22, but there are way you can boost the damage of fists, and remember you always have 2.

First is "Fists of Steel" from the Heavy Armor tree, with deadric gauntlets you'll do an extra 18 damage and then you add the "Gloves of the Pugilist" enchantment to three pieces of gear at 13 points each you're looking at 79 damage per punch.

I don't know about you but 79 damage seems pretty good to me, and if you add the AE dlc on top you can do even more.

I do like khajiit, but I still would like it to be possible for all races. Makes sense to be better for them, of course, claws help a lot. Orcs should be good at bone breaking too, they're stronger than nords. (but I hate orcs lol ) Thanks for telling me, next time I play a khajiit I'll try.
