Weird save game corruption issue
When I save my game it shows as corrupt. When I restart my game I can load the save no problem.

I can't find anything like this. If anyone knows what is happening or had this issue and resolved it it would be really neat if helped a brrother out. cheers.

It is not an actual problem. Just game being a goofy.

If your save file is actually corrupted, game will give a pop-up about, discard the save and attempt to create a backup file in to save location.

Usually it is just scripting engine running wild. Waiting for a moment and opening menu again will show all save files as normal.

If that happens all the time, then make sure that your anti virus application, external drive or cloud storage (like OneDrive) isn't trying to inspect or backup your files. They might appear as corrupted if some third application is constantly working with them.

a couple mods give this false error. Using the valkryie manor mod does this when you save the game sometimes, but no harm is done. Just another weird quirk that this game has.

What you're describing is the "false save corruption bug"

This error often shows up if you have a lot of mods installed (even if they are not enabled). More info:

Per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/c-runtime-library/reference/setmaxstdio the max number of file handles the C stdio level can hold open by default is 512. Since SSE keeps an open file handle for all your plugins (including ones that aren't part of your load order) as well as some other important files, its possible to hit this limit on a heavy load order. Once you hit the limit all calls to fopen_s will start to fail, which means the game can no longer read new files.

This causes, among other things, save game loads to report corrupted as the game is no longer capable of reading the save game files, a bug known as "false save corruption". The patch raises the limit to the system maximum (2048), which should be more than enough for 99.9% of use cases. Solving it any other way would require rewriting significant parts of SSE's file IO.

SSE engine fixes should fix this issue:

Note: the above mod will enable achievements in a modded game.

I have had the same issue. This was the fix for me:
