I don't know who or what General Sam is but there are several ways to increase brightness, saturation, and contrast with and/or without ENB.

I use Vivid Weathers in Classic Mode -- that turns off the Filmic Color Correction in the default game engine and makes it crisp. It also has settings for brightness, saturation, and contrast that I find pleasant and not over-the-top. This is a great solution if ENB stresses your machine.

Imaginator[www.nexusmods.com] is a color correction (among other things) mod that is fairly popular, note that it incorporates many of the things that most ENBs already have.

So, ENB and/or ReShade -- virtually all of them have extensive color, brightness, saturation and other visual settings. Many also have DOF features, too -- read their descriptions on their respective mod pages.

I suspect that when you talk about Depth-of-field (DOF) you're really talking about LOD (I apologize if that is not the case). Look into DynDOLOD for more info on LOD and billboards.

Damn those blacks are too black. Personal taste I know. I prefer the look of Rudy and PRT (just talking vids I've watched versus personally used).

I don't feel it looks real, was my take. Imo the greatest negative to me about presets for ENB is the urge of authors to really make the shadows and any thing that is dark into deep black, even when there is tons of bounce light that should allow us to see more light and colors. Go to Youtube and search for "skyrim se enb" and you'll find a ton of video comparisons. Some people really dig the blacks though and power to 'em... but it's just to artificial when I prefer to go for realism in lighting.

Oh yeah for sure. Not judging... it's all subjective personal taste as I said. There's no right or wrong here. :)

There's a lot of different ENB and ReShade options on the nexus. I personally use Clearview ReShade. Makes things more crisp and colourful, and ups the contrast. Not to the point where shadows are black, but they're still pretty dark. It's not realistic, but I like the more fantasy look anyway.
