Braith your parents are alive why are you acting like they're dead

Ok this is weird upon interacting with Braith for the first time well she acted like her parents were dead even having the adoption dialogue, one problem both Amren and Saffir are alive in fact I hadn't even been to Whiterun before and had just taken Amren's quest to get his sword from the bandits that stole it, hell both had their exchange I don't know why Braith is acting like her parents are dead when they are both VERY much alive AND I've not even been to Whiterun before.

Braith is being Braith. Killable Children plus two arrows in the head should solve all the issues with her.

I kill her parents and then adopt her so I can raise her as one of the new Dark Brotherhood.

I was wondering about the bug not about Braith herself this is a bug report not a Braith bashing fest. Also Braith may be a brat but I draw my ethics line at killing kids, that's just plain EVIL; look there are a fair amount of NPCs that drive me nuts in Skyrim but I limit my killing them to adults and even then I'm very patient about it because bounties are expensive to pay off provided the guards are willing to let you do so and not just straight up attack you so I want to do so without risking one and you know it takes a while to get your stealth and archery skill to a point where you can kill without being noticed.

i bet 99% of the bugs that can happen in the game are documented there (mabye not when introduced by latest AE update)

There are three possibilities. You installed a mod (say adoption related) that makes her think they are dead so you can adopt her, OR They died very very recently from the spawn in Mid Air Bug.

Likely some hiccup in the game and they are actually fine (you didn't rez them did you?).

If they are dead and you completed the sword quest you should be getting a letter from the courier.

They are most certainly alive they were right next to me when I talked to her and the mid air bug didn't occur, hell I've even flagged both as essential using console commands, I think it may be a mod thing.

It sounds like your talking to Lucia and not Braith. During the day she is near where Amren and Saffir start their dialogue. Lucia's parents are dead. Braith will insult you when trying to talk to her.

They have a different color dress but otherwise almost look the same.
