White box around torches
For 2000+ hrs i just let vortex handle the bulk of the deployment order. As i played i learned what mods i liked added clothes textures etc.So now I start like many of us my game again, and i have one stupid issue:(Had the problem a long time and thought i had fixed in enb by decreasing fire until you could barely see anything. The issue i was having was white boxes that would appear with torches and other mods that added too bright effects like colorful bound bows.I pulled all enb and dll related no help.I uninstalled nat stand alone that i had used with enb,no luck.Pretty much vanilla, except some enb particle mods were left active. So i though hm I will deactivate some of them,no luck.I read everywhere and little seems to be resolved with this issue, unless i didn't google the problem correct.I did not disable every single particle light mod because i did not think it was the reason, just some.Still almost vanilla with enb,and nat deactivated sill have the problem. So i know this is a bit of a double question, but do you think it possible load order of nat or particle mods would cause this? And vortex auto load order i would like whole new question sometime, because my clothes, and add on places just seem chaotic and randomly loaded. But then again i am just a stubborn self taught who wanted to try and learn the hard way,in that i did not copy a mod list anywhere. However i am sometimes just stumped.Possibly betini,or my ini files set incorrectly after pulling a fire mod in the past and it never corrected? No clue

I did a search of this issue, and the one thing that I saw mentioned several times was that it was somehow connected to NAT - Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel. I see you say you have NAT and deactivated it, but it would be best to try with it completely uninstalled and with any and all files from it removed completely so none are left over, and on a save made before it was installed.

The best thing of course is to just do a clean reinstall of the game to ensure that there are no files remaining, and then test things. See this by GamerPoets - Clean Installation Tutorial

Follow that exactly, and then try first testing purely vanilla, and then, test with your ENB installed, and next test with NAT.

To me, it looks like pretty much any other torch I've seen - nothing seems to be standing out as being missing - unless I am missing it?

Ah! now i see what you mean - I thought that was just some background structure - LOL!
It seems to be how the the effect is being applied in the game, like the edge of a decal that is sometimes seen on effects.

my picture isn't doing justice at all.It stands out like a sore thumb in game as the boxes morph in and out of the fire almost like some missing texture for swirling smoke or something

enb on tones it down strangly enough because i set fire low

It would have to be something with a fire or torch mod - something that changes the way the flame appears

almost looks like it has some missing glow or hue that is supposed to float outside the fire

Yes, some mod that changes the flame and the effects is at the heart of it, for sure - or adds smoke - anything that is related to flames.

I have radiant candles version 2.2.0?
smr1957 Apr 27, 2022 @ 6:23pm
looking at that, it only touches candles - so it should have no effect on torches.

Are you using Embers XD or any similar mod - as that effects torches

i tried deactivate no luck:( Yea i will double check i think all fire mods of any kind except maybe some magic animation type mods and idk as that they might edit something?I doubt it but anything is possible i guess

Animated embers 2.1?
smr1957 Apr 27, 2022 @ 6:31pm
If you have more than one fire effect mod, they may be conflicting with regard to torch mesh/textures, so any mods that deals with flame would be something to be looked at - basically it will be a trial and error thing to determine exactly which mod - or combination of mods - is causing that.

That just seems to add an effect to the burnt wood (rubble and planks) - and does not touch torches

Right true. That was the last thing i know of,and reading albeit brief on page i didn't see that it edited much more than a few things but i will still try and de activate it too
