Any of the Anniversary Edition added followers any good?

It's been a while since Anniversary dropped and I still haven't heard/seen any videos comparing the followers from Bittercup or Ghosts of Tribunal (forgive me if I missed anyone)

Wanted to know if any of them bring anything new to the table as a follower besides the unique weapon Vesparth The Toe has.
In terms of gameplay I mean, I know there's no personality to CC followers.

I haven't ran into any of those yet. I'm playing it so that I discover added content naturally from regular play. There is only one quest I looked up because I found a npc that wouldn't interact with me and I wanted to know what quest they were a part of.

I have found a few conjuring spells that I like especially for a character that wouldn't normally put much into magicka as one didn't cost much to cast and the other takes all your magicka but when I wouldn't use it anyway then who cares if it takes my 100 magicka.

If I find myself in a tough situation then I like to conjure something instead of playing with a follower.

The goblin you rescue from the cave, makes for a decent follower and he only counts as a pet, so you can have him as a companion, plus another companion. His Storm Atronach is pretty powerful.

You can do both at the same time.
