How to get the SKSE Inventory mod to work on Anniversary/SE?
I found a few webpages that say SKSE is already baked into the AE/SE editions.
How to I get the SKSE inventory mod working as I HATE the default inventory system.
Thanks in advance.

Oh you're thinking of SKYUI or at least that's the mod that changes the inventory UI

And SKSE is not baked into the Skyrim SE 1.6.353 Anniversary DLC you'd have to download it here SKSE.silverlock.org
and would need this version:
Current Aniversary Edition build 2.1.5 (game version 1.6.353)

Are you using a mod manager and if so which one?

OK, thanks.
I went to the page you gave before and downloaded the SKSE.
When I open the MODS page while in the game, I did a search for SKYUI and nothing.
What am I missing here...

You need to install SKSE and SKYUI

this is why I ask if you are using a mod manager and if so which one.

and you wouldn't use the in-game mods section for SKSE

personally I wouldn't (and don't) bother with the in-game mods section period

Thanks much guys.

I do have Nexus MM installed but its for the Original vers.
It does not work that way with mod these managers. They work for both Versions.
But are you talking about Vortex or NMM?

Greetings.
I was using NMM but its all configed for Vanilla.
So, I installed Vortex and then the SkyUI and it worked.
HOWEVER, now all the mods I activate within the game itself by clicking on Mods, those all get dissabled! So now, It appears I can only have one or the other.
Active and working SkyUI or all the other mods actiavted in game.
I'm starting the game with the latest SKSE as posted above.

In game mods menu from Bethesda and outside mod managers don't work well together, choose one or the other.
Mods obtained from the mods menu can be imported into Vortex though.

Vortex extensions menu, click find more and then type Import from Bethesda into the search bar.

No way its that easy?!?
HazakTheMad Apr 7, 2022 @ 6:59pm
Yes, you just need to have them installed, then use the extension to import them.
