The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Crashing inevitably on load after Alternate Start
After I use the statue in Alternate Start to, well, start, I invariably crash to desktop when the load screen ends. Same thing if I use coc whiterun from the main menu. Load order: https://modwat.ch/u/JOTesting

Ideas?

I'm still sorting my left panel, but in doing so I think I may have found the problem: I had a bunch of patches and such for True Directional Movement, yet for some reason MO2 failed to inform me that I didn't have TDM ITSELF installed. So if I check again after I reorganize my left panel and the game works fine, it seems the culprit was just me being a dodo.

Happens. Load order management and dependencies are half the battle.
We all have done dodos
Indeed we all have :D
Yep we've all done it and it's a large club lol.
"Sigh" Nope. Fixing the TDM dodo and rearranging my left panel has not fixed the issue.
Dang by the way having a similar issue with the statue of Mara it crashes whenever I try to talk to it fortunately my main save game is still working so I'm playing that.
I don't crash when talking to the statue, I crash after I finish talking to it and the loading screen "ends", I don't even get to see the game.
Hey at least its less frustrating then crashing when you try to talk to the thing; In my case the rest of the game works its just the statue on the fritz.
Lucky you. At least you can actually play the damn game.
I've fixed my problem thank you Crash Logger which told me what was causing the issue. I've removed the trouble maker and nuked it from my computer it is now totally deleted; ASLAL works now. Recommendation to fix this get Crash Logger and you'll be able to tell what plugin is causing the trouble and remove it, also once you've removed it make sure to remove the archive itself that way you don't end up turning on a game-breaker again accidently..

Don't suppose you have a link? I know about the crash logger with Buffout 4 in Fallout 4, but I wasn't aware there was one for SSE or I'd have used it by now.

Thanks. I'll give that a try sometime, but I just discovered Vermintide 2 so I've got other things on my mind right now.
Download and use the mod Net Script Framework and generate a crash log, if you are lucky, it will tell you what mod is causing the crash.

Also, if you are on AE, this may work the same but I have heard it is not as reliable so if it does not show anything maybe it is worth to downgrade with downgrade patcher.
