Non magic assassin build (ordinator)
Any one have any tips for non magic assassin builds, currently using ordinator.
I want to run a dagger + archery sneak build with ancient shrouded armor set, but the chestpiece for shrouded is terrible compare to nightingale chestpiece.

Is it worth it to sacrifice the 25 armor bonus for having full set for the nightingale enchantments ?

What gears or perks should i get to compliment the build

You can take the Lord stone for 50 more armor and 25% magic resistance.

I am heavy on this play, but my last several have been light and I stopped taking the full set perk long ago. You can hit the armor cap without it.

You definitely want the archery base perks full, all 5, and the next perk up to zoom in. I don't usually have much help from the slow time effect, so I generally stop there. Perk up your sneak tree until you get the 3x damage for archery (you already get 2x from sneak) and make sure you keep the first muffle enchantment you find, put it on boots. It will help immensely.

Alchemy, go with base 5 perks at the least, and make poisons. They will help with stealth-shooting bosses who may not go down with one shot.

Canis Root & Imp stool = paralysis. Add a river betty to give you some extra oomph.
Deathbell & Nightshade = damage health (nightshade boosts it more than nirnroot or most of the others, but deathbell & river betty will give you a poison that does even more damage and also slows their movement)

If you're going non magic, you may not want to enchant your bow, but it definitely helps to do so.
If you're modding, you can use a mod called Honed Metal, which will allow you to pay enchanters to enchant your gear. You can also pay blacksmiths to make/upgrade gear for you, if you don't want to level smithing.

Shooting an upsmithed, enchanted, poisoned bow, from stealth, with the 3x damage perk = win.

Oh, also check every merchant you see for "of archery" gear. If you're enchanting, put it on every piece of gear that will accept it. There are also potions to boost your archery for a time. I want to say canis root, elves ear, juniper berries, and spider egg...any two of those.

Ah yes, sorry about that. Mine is vanilla. I don't know much about Ordinator. Do you still have the stealth damage boost and incremental damage output increases?

For more entertainment, try being a non-magic using assassin that uses a bow only as a distraction. All kills except dragons and scripted bosses (Harkon, Karstag) can be from dagger sneak attacks. I've done it, and it turns combat into a puzzle.

Ah, my apologies then. As you had archery on the list of skills i assumed you were making another stealth archer with daggers for emergencies. And i prefer the shrouded armour. Chaurus hunters are one of the nastier enemies in the game, with good detection, and they use poison. Ice comes into play more often, but that relies on enemies seeing you. The only ice using enemies that are a major issue are Dragons, but you can fire up a novice ward to negate all dragon breath damage anyway.

With Ordinator you also have access to tripwires and bear traps, which, while i've not tried it since DLing the mod, would make this a lot less hassle to play as well.

well you do have a point, since stealth is the point of the build. minor armor loss and resistance wont matter that much for most humanoid enemies.
