Dread Zombie Spell limits?
I have Conjuration LV100 and all perks, yet I still find foes who I cannot raise from dead: a text appear saying "this enemy is too powerful for Dread Zombie".
WTH?

is it a side effect of OBIS?
if yes, is there a way to bypass this limitation?

What level character are you?
Because even with all the perks and 100% conjuration you eventually reach a point where there are enemies you can't raise no matter what.

You want the spell dead thrall (Only works on Man/Mer/Arg/Kha (races you can be). You get it by completing the Conjuration Master Quest at the College (phineas something).

I want to say you can only raise up to Great Soulgem Level with Dread Zombie but I may be wrong 40-50. But don't take it as gospel as I don't usually do Conjuration plays (if I do I use Daedric Lord and not undead based spells).

Even Dead Thrall had a limited even you going 81 level or higher, making most spell are useless, pure mage isn't that great in high level like fighter and archery, strange, often many game, it's was mage is most powerful of all class in high level, but this skyrim game, mage get weaker due spell cap like only work up to said 20 to 40 level cap and damage do not go up. Zero cost mana sure don't help, because I rather cast one hit kill spell than spamming with little to none damge.

the 'raise dead' kind of spells that appear in the game are only good up to a point, and they are heavily choked back in power. its not a side-effect of any of your mods, magic was generally poorly done in skyrim from day one.

if you're playing on adept or higher especially.

consider grabbing some mods that revamp the magic skills by adding new spells to the schools you find the worst. conjuration and destruction really benefit from having higher tiered spells added for lvls 60-100. plenty of mods cover this, and tend to be stand-alone and cross-compatible. just have to pick the ones you think you'll like best.

In all my years of Skyrim, Serana finally raised something useful - a Sabrecat from the Old Orc that had spawned near our Fast Travel destination. Usually she picks up a crab or a skeever or a spider.

But yes, they severely gimped the Dread Zombie spell, as well as Snimal Allegiance and Kyne's Peace. The animals you REALLY need them to work on - bear, sabrecat, etc - are immune.

Even the Ritual Stone power won't raise some powerful enemies - the ones that would be the most beneficial.

Unless you make a mod that removes their immunity.

wth... that sucks. I'm currently lv76 with full Conj and already completed Master spell quest.
Zombies are quite useful with OBIS enabled because the enemy hits really hard and having extra cannon fodder is a bliss. I guess I'll have to look for a mod that fixes this problem...

thanks guys
