Ring of Hircine after removing lycanthropy
I was wondering: If i am a lycanthropy, than become a vampire(lord), than cure vampirism and become a normal person (khajiit in my case) will i than still be able to use the Ring of Hircine?
I have already been a lycanthropy and i have not technically "cured" lycanthropy but i also nolonger have it.

Im playing Skyrim SE, latest update.

It gets cured if you become a vampire lord and i doubt the ring still works, but you can talk to aela to become a werewolf again.

If you become a Vampire Lord, you are cured of Lycanthropy, Harkon tells you this if you ask.
So you would have to talk to Aela to become a werewolf again.

I know you lose the ability to become a werewolf, but (if i remeber correctly) when you cure yourself through the companions questline than you permanently lose the ability to become a werewolf or even get Lycanthropy. If its done the companion way the ring no longer works because you get a stat (or something) which completely disconnect you from Lycanthropy.
This is not the case however when you get vampirism, than you can still go back to being a werewolf without any problems.
To rephrase my question: Can you use the ring if you remove Lycanthropy on a different way than the permanent companion cure? Like with commands or the vampire methode.

Don't used console commands, they will bork your game.
And the ring only works for werewolves, so you would need to speak to Aela to become a Werewolf again.

The companion cure is not permanent, Aela will always allow you to become a werewolf a second time. but she refuses to to it again after that, I assume to prevent you from being locked in as a werewolf because there are a limited number of witch heads and this quest was made far before Dawnguard and Vampire lord with no other way to cure it.

Either way the ring only effects werewolves so you can only use it as a werewolf.
