I have a question
Does anyone here use the moonlight tales SE mod? If so I just want to know if you've had this problem. To explain for those who don't know, moonlight tales improves on the werewolf skill tree, and you can unlock roars/howls in that tree. Now these roars are activated by either looking up, forward, or down. Looking straight ahead and tapping z to roar activates roar of terror, looking up and tapping z is supposed to activate roar of the pack, and finally looking down and tapping z is supposed to activate roar of the predator. One other thing to make note of is that the totems don't work the way they normally do in moonlight tales, instead of activating one roar or another when you use them, they instead give you different boosts/effects. Now, my issue is that no matter which direction I look, I always get roar of terror, even though I have the others unlocked in the skill tree.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem while using the mod, and if so what I can do to remidy this?

Hmmm I have yet to try it, but I just downloaded it, so I will see.

Question for you though. Having posited such a neat mod for Werewolves, know of one for vampires? =o

Unfortunately I don't know any off the top of my head. I've heard a vampire overhaul mentioned at the start of the video they have pinned in the discussion tab of the moonlight tales nexus page, but no name was given, sorry.

Probably worth asking on the mod's page, if you haven't already.

Yeah went there, pretty sure it's dead / not being tended to by the mod creator. This thing was last updated in 2016, 2017 if you're checking the bethesda page for it, but even then both are the same version number. I didn't think I'd get a response from there, so I came here to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Sacrosanct is the vampire overhaul. It's one of EnaiSiaion's mods--one of the best modders in the community. Definitely worth installing.

Sacrosanct is great, as is Better Vampires. Both have a ton of customization to them.

I use Moonlight Tales myself, and have never had an issue with the howls. Post your sorted mod list, maybe something is conflicting. My current build is Moonlight Tales, Ordinator, and Better Vampires. They work perfectly in conjunction with each other.

Here's the list of mods and in what load order it is on NMM https://puu.sh/A99CF/b0de70c35a.png

The mod Race Compatibility is only compatible with Moonlight Tales if you delete the Scripts\PlayerWerewolfChangeScript.pex file.

That comes from the Nexus page for Moonlight Tales. Did you do that?

@OP - I have moonlight tales and am not having direction roaring issues.

@All - Sacrosanct is great fun!

Ok I didn't see that bit on the mod page, akward. How would I go about doing this through NMM?

Would have to go into the mod directory where NMM installs them and delete the file. I'm assuming they mean to delete it from Race Compatibility. Just make sure you backup whatever file it is to somewhere else, make a Working folder or something on your Desktop, before deleting anything.

I "think" NMM installs to your Skyrim Special Edition directory in steamApps/Common, but can't remember for sure.

Yeah I found the file in the scripts folder in data for SE. I knew I could look there, I was just being a bit of a dumb :V At any rate I deleted the file, I'll see if it works now. Will update soon.

No worries. Just making sure. Quite a few will come straight to Steam instead of going to the source, then get pissy when nobody replies. ;)

Nothing worse than asking questions on dead mods. I'm still waiting for some replies lol.

UPDATE: Yeah, going into data/scripts and deleting that file fixed the issue. Everything works now, thanks for the help everyone :HatHealth:
