What difficulty am I supposed to play the "Darkend" mod on?
For those who have played said mod, I just can't figure out what difficulty the mod's little additional land is balanced around, I've been managing to hold my own on adept in the base game, but have had to lower it to apprentice when playing this mod.

And then I reached the ancient guardian dragon, who can deal over 300 HP damage with a single breath attack, and, well, I'm beginning to wonder if this mod was balanced around novice or something? I just can't tell.

EDIT: as a note, I went into the mod at around level 27 and am level 33 now.

TL;DR, Anyone know what difficulty the Darkend mod is balanced around playing on?

Most mods claim to be balanced st expert or above and makes a point to set thier baddies as much harder than default.

So you are expected to use the various cheese that people use to become unkillable gods in vanilla. ... Yes this is a generic blanket statement since I dont know the mid in question but I've found it to more true than not.

I ended up just lowering it to novice for that enemy, but thanks for the explanation I guess. Main problem was the bugger refused to land where I could whack it with melee, so I was using archery (which my char wasn't skilled at)

ANYWAY, it's a dark souls inspired mod that adds a new land that acts as a mega-dungeon of sorts with no quest markers to guide you. Although it's more "Prepare to get a bit lost" than "Prepare to die" in terms of difficulty. (with the exception of the last little part of one area and the aformetioned dragon).

Adds a lot of new weapons, a few new shields, four quite strong rings, and adds some new healing items to the game, albeit found in limited quantities but they are helpful within the mod. Although a lot of the items can get kind of rediculous (such as how the zweihander can stack bleed repetitively and the Yarhagul saber swings about as fast as a dagger while dealing damage around that of an orcish sword). These things ain't easy to find of course, you gotta look around for em.
