My companion actually is stuck
You know where you get the dawnbreaker the holy statue of Meridia and there was the dungeon's boss and all and my companion kept dying so I made her wait in the back, so I killed him and got dawnbreaker, but my companion is still in the dungeon and the door is locked and I can't get another companion, because she is stuck in the dungeon. So should I just load an earlier file or is there a solution?

What happens when you use the console command to teleport her to you?

Look up your companion's Ref ID (can just type Skyrim <character name>" into google), then do this exactly as I say it:

~ <- opens console

type the following:

prid <Ref ID> <- no brackets

hit enter

type the following:

moveto player <- moveto is one word and the space is a part of the command

~ <- closes console

This will bring the actual NPC to you. It will not create a copy, it will not mess up their AI package it will simply place them in front of you. If you decide to go seek out other advice instead then remember this at the very least: DO NOT USE the placeatme command.

Your followers will tire of waiting after 3 game days and return to their home. If you assigned them a new home (i.e. Hearthfires Steward, or My Home Is Your Home), they will return to whatever home you assigned them. Otherwise, wherever you got them from.
If it's Lydia, and you bought Breezehome, she'll be there, otherwise she'll be in Dragonsreach.
If it's Iona, she'll be in Honeyside.
If it's Jordis, she'll be in Proudspire.
If it's Rayya, she'll either be in Falkreath at the Jarl's longhouse or Lakeview Manor, if you bought and built it.
If it's Illia, she'll be at Darklight Tower.
If it's Mjoll, she'll be in Riften and Aerin's house.
If it's one of the Companions, she'll be at Jorrvaskr.
If it's Janessa, she'll be at the Drunken Huntsman.
If it's Uthgerd, she'll be at the Bannered Mare.
If it's Adelaisa, she'll be at the East Empire Warehouse in Windhelm.
If it's Annekke Crag-Jumper, she'll be at Darkwater Crossing.
If it's Eola, she'll be at the tomb where you finished Namira's quest.
If it's Borgakh, she'll be back at the stronghold you got her from.
If it's a custom mod follwer, then probably wherever you first found her.

Alternatively, you can type help meridia in the console and look for Cells associated with the quest (KilkreathRuins03 probably, that's the last section before fighting Malkoran), then coc to that cell, reclaim your follower, then coc somewhere else and she'll snap to you.
