Directional power attacks?
I know how to do these but was wondering if there is any reason to not just do the normal one, and forwards if you need to charge in. Backwards takes more time, but does it do more damage? Same with left/right, is there really any difference from just standing still?

all the attacks can stagger and the attack when you stand still and hold the attack for a fast hard attack does immence damage with a high chance of critical hits and it is the fastes hard attack........ the right side hard attack does the same but is slower but may do more damage on if you get a critical hit with it same goes for the left side hard attack.... the backward moving hard attack has the chance to stagger your enemies to the point that they fall over as if they were paralysed but they are not they just are super stunned and fall down until they immediatly get back up and the walking forward hard attack does good damage and has a chance to make your enemy stagger back in which you should use that time to stop moving and commence the standing still heavy attack which i mention is the fastest.....

the sprinting heavy attack has the most damage and will get a critical hit almost every time the rest of the running and slashing attack does great damage but is more for cutting away at the enemies health quickly before your stamina finishes.... this is just what ive learnt from playing my recent warrior class... if you have the slow time shout you will be able to see the difference in combat and learn it better then once you are in normal time you willl be able to fight much better knowing the intracacies of the mechanics.. or at least thats how it was for me.

Not really. I haven't noticed an increase in the chance of performing a special kill move using any of them as opposed to a standing attack. I suppose the skill perks for them are there for those who play a more strict combat style (deal more damage than you take by moving around).

It's been so long since I've played without an enchanted item that lets me one-hit everything that I don't even know if melee opponents still dance around you while ripping out power attacks and rapid slashes.
