Console commands disable achievements?
Got a bugged NPC who is hostile to me and should not be, wanted to him friendly as he should be and was worried if doing so would bork things, anyone have any information/experience on using console commands recently and still getting achievements?

Originally I was able to use the console, save, then log out of game, start again and achievements worked. Don't know about now with this version of the game.

It was Fallout 4 that disabled achievements for console commands not Skyrim.
Although it appears there might be one console command that disables achievements since the update, but can't say exactly what it is (probably TGM)

Playerspellbook should be, that command messes up almost as many saves as setstage.

These ones have been tested by someone else. I haven't personally tested them yet. Any feedback is appreciated:

From that thread:

user: Apple314159265358979 has posted the following commands that they say did _not_ disable achievements on use:

player.additem
player.addperk
player.modav CarryWeight
tgm
lock
unlock
setessential
placeatme
player.moveto
openactorcontainer
setlocationcleared
setownership
addspell
AdvSkill
advlevel
bat
player.addtofaction
teachword
unlockword
fov
ResetHealth
playerspellbook
Not seeing any of these being a command to change a NPC's disposition, I spose add to faction? That seems like it would effect the player though.

Worried about that as well, I can't seem to get any information for SE AE

I find it funny they didnt block "caqs" or complete all quest stages which insta completes every quest in the game and unlocks more than half the achievements.

I was able to use tcl when I played a moment ago without any issue. To help you can use a spell that will calm the target if you only need to talk to them, it's one of the calm spells there are a few. As for console commands (last time I used the ones I'm about to state was before the newest patch and only works if the target is one you can normally kill through normal means) try opening the console clicking on the target npc then type kill hit enter, then if the console closed reopen it, the target should still be the npc, followed by typing out resurrect and hitting enter. Doing this should revive the target at their default disposition towards the player. Hope these things help out. Honestly though try the calm spells first if you are worried about achievements.

More like I killed his brother, but there is no way he should know..and now he refuses to sell to me, I read around for a fix and seems to be a bug :/ So will using calm reset him for a time?

Yes but for nearly all of the console commands you only get the warning....
Maybe some idiot in the CC development team doesn't realise Skyrim doesn't disable achievements with console commands.
SpeedFreak1972 Nov 24, 2021 @ 6:21am
Yea I don't get it really ... I mean it only can be for gamepass, because on console (xbox, PS) you can't use the console anyway. I really don't understand if tgm is okay so it seems an empty warning.

Fallout: New Vegas, not Fallout 4.
Someone on the Bethesda Discord claimed that Anniversary Edition disables achievements when ToggleGodMode or ToggleImmortalMode are used.
