Downgrade to Win. 10. Microsoft is using the consumers to beta test Win. 11.

Imagine running Win11 on your own will.

Well, those first two responses were just so helpful. Windows 11 works fine with Skyrim SE AE. I played for six hours yesterday. What type of system do you run on? I have a desktop i7 9700K, 64 Gig of RAM, 2 TB system drive NVMe, and my Steam installs are on an 8 TB SATA SSD. My video card is an Nvidia RTX 3070. I upgraded to Windows 11 a month ago, and have noticed no performance issues in Skyrim that were not caused by any of the various mods I installed that needed updating or uninstall.

Well, aside from saying that the game runs *fine* for you on Win11 your response wasn't that helpful either. It's either Win11 is screwing with the OP's game or there's something odd with the hardware since "i uninstalled it but no memory was recovered back to my storage" sounds suspicious. Or neither and it's just mods that we lack info about, as usual.
I always find it strange when people blindly jump to an untested OS.

1. Verify game file integrity. From the Steam library:
Right-click Skyrim > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

2. Since you upgraded the OS, make sure your graphics card driver is up to date.

3. Use the graphics card software and set the FPS to 60.

so For the most part i regained a portion of the lost memory "lost" being that i forgot where or what i was doing the last couple days fiddling with my computer , most of it recovered there is just about 40gb roughly that i havent found an explanation for
win11 certainly has some drawbacks and is quite annoying to get used to in the beginning but over all its not too bad im not sure what they aim for in a new OS like 11 , i just bought this Gaming Computer for black friday its my first one so it will be a while before im competent enough to use it at its best especially with a OS

im saying the game "RAn" fine for a little while then all of a sudden across 2 Entire games being
Skyrim A Ed then warhammer 40k space hulk Death wing enhanced edition
the same Black screen flickering only on occasion that i would get the music and menu and music with cursor moving , but in those periods in between i would get NOTHING
so i am open to any help
i have reset my cpu and gpu back to factory settings i have uninstalled them both and even the rest of them and only starting with 1 game that i also had issues with which was metro exodus it would launch seemingly fine but in an instant i would get the window prompting that i dont have the required hardware to support the game

Asking for other information when the information you are given matches what you run with no problems is a diagnostic step.

So, D34dEYEJedi, when did the game stop running properly for you? I am assuming that with the limited storage space, you are not running too many installed mods other than the ones that come with the Anniversary update. But, just in case, have you installed mods other than those that come with the update? I wish I was more familiar with that HP model PC. On the face of it, it looks like it should handle the game without much of a problem. Though with it being HP, I wonder if there is not a power issue of some sort. What wattage is the power supply rated for on that unit?
D34dEYEJedi Jan 16, 2022 @ 10:53pm
you wouldnt be wrong and yes not just the psu but the motherboard that this thing has is awful i can only overclock my gpu just slightly and my cpu at about a 1/3rd of what it was meant to be at overclocked but your right the specs i have should and is handling all games i throw at it on ultra setting no temperature problems at all just a low voltage applied at about .75 volts to 1.3 anything more and there is an automatic shutdown or crash but the AMD software i am using most certainly respects the parameters of the motherboard that being what ever stock pice o crap they gave me , so i am in waiting for a mother board and new nvme ssd card hopefully a 1tb at the very least
D34dEYEJedi Jan 16, 2022 @ 10:56pm
Metro exodus the non enhanced edition is running fine on safe mode but i still get the whole
your last launch failed , start in safe mode prompt window
i hit yes and been jamming on ultra for the last 4 hours no problems , still annoying

If you ever need incentive to make your own PC, buy an HP Pavilion. They are good for someone in a pinch, but you have to modify so many things over time because you find out the default model is a limiting factor. Mine was memory, power, video, and storage. I could have upgraded the CPU from the i5 to an i7, but surprisingly the CPU was adequate.

lol actually i answered this question in the beginning comments to the chat or chat specific
person ,
Anyway i do have an Hp Pavillion 16Gb of generic ram but had quickly upgraded my pc case and Ram with a corsair Vengaence lpx CL14 Dual ranked....also Ryzen 7 4700G with onboard AMD Radeon graphix i also have an Nvidia Geforce 1660 Super 6GB DDR6 for about 1100$ which actually can still run on ultra for current and previously dated game with a 10 year span of time between advancements in tech , ordered it on a black friday pre order deal i found for my birthday , always spend you larger chunks of money during and around Black friday for maximum Satisfaction
anyway i upgraded my processsor and gpu accordingly as i atleast want to have a decent gaming rig if i wanted to last for 3 years until an upgrade is demanded . but liuckily i work so a new motherboard and ssd nvme 2.o 1tb can be possinle as the one recommended on amazon looks pretty solid with 1tb and something like 7000ish Mb/s in writing speed , so only a mere 85 89$$$ used or 120 130 new i believe... its a samsung pro
and i hear the chips that are used in quality RAM and storage Are particularly sought after especially if a dual rank or even single rank is all that can be accommodated
