Black face issue after trying to move to high poly heads.
Hey all so I added today "High Poly Head 1.4" from vectorplexus I also got Courageous Women AIO/Pride of Skyrim to go along with this as well as the "Expressive Facegen Morphs" , "Expressive Facial Animations" (both male and Female).

These were ment to work along side Bijin War,Wives,NPCs. ( all installed before hand and then added Bijin AIO and dissabled the .esp for war, wives,NPCs.)

Issues seems to be now that faces are now showing as black. I have also noticed that some NPC mouths are no longer moving when they talk.

Currently setup with CBBE and Im using the Bijin Skin CBBE.

Current mods im using in deploy order on vortex that effect NPC/characters.

AI Overhaul 1.6.7
BodySlide
CBPC - Physics
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer
CBBE 3BA
Interesting NPCs
Interesting NPCs Visual Overhaul
KS hairdos SMP
KS Hairdos SSE
RaceMenu
Natural Eyes
The Eyes of Beauty
UNP Female body Renewal - SG Eyebrows only
Pride of Skyrim - AIO FOMOD
Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul
BIJIN AIO SE
ApachiiSkyHair
Bijin Skin CBBE
Expressive Facegen Morphs
Expressive Facegen Morphs -Racemenu plugin
Expressive Facial Animation
Courageous Woman - High Poly Head Female NPC Overhaul - NPC Master list
Bijin Wives
Bijin Warmaidens
Bijin NPCs
Courageous Woman - AIO
Courageous Woman - AI OVERHAUL Patch.

On vortex under mod rules I have it so that Bijin Wives,NPC and War happens BEFORE Courageous Women.

I tested removing Courageous which removes the black face issues so it has to be something messing with that but no idea what.

Any help would be amazing as I have spent a full day trying to work this out and got no where.

It is a load order issue (most black face bugs are). Also, a lot of people have issues with Bijin AIO - there shouldn't be, but people do - so sometimes it is better to just use the individual mods's .esps (also, on an existing save, you cannot be removing plugins - for all the usual reasons as outlined here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/1520386297681801135/ )

As to mixing and matching NPC overhauls, it is not really recommended unless you have the experience to use xEdit to remove conflicting records, and, ideally, are comfortable with opening mod folders to remove conflicting facegen file.

But, even without doing that, the best thing is, uninstall ALL the NPC makeovers, and then reinstall them in the order that you want them to take precedent, with the lower precedent mods being installed first and thus being higher in the load order, and the one whose NPCs you most want to see being installed last, overwriting the previous ones, and being lower in the load order than them.

If you want different NPC's from different mods, then I am afraid you would have to do editing as described in my second paragraph - and that is not recommended if you do not have the experience to do so.

100% looked over the mods and found the NPC over haul mod. I removed that and then cleared up the issues with the faces Thank you.

That is good, but if the NPC does not have a default Facegen or tint data to fall back on, you will get, at best, a vanilla face, or, a horseface.
From the mod's description page:
"but if you have a conflict in your load order that breaks those mods, this mod will not be able to restore the intended appearance. It will only fix the discoloration."

It is far, far better to address the actual issue, than to use this mod (though it does have its uses).

That is great! Enjoy!

I would say, that if you are interested in mixing and matching for some future build, that you try and familiarize yourself with xEdit (if you have not already) as to the removal of records and resolving of conflicts, and also do some playing around with seeing how the NPC folders are set up, and how to remove conflicting files from them. This all takes some time to learn, and should not be done on a current build, but is still worth learning if you choose to make more complex builds in the future - consider it a graduate level course of study, if you will.

Generally the issue arise from conflicts like SMR mentions or an error in the creation of the mod.
For conflicts either stop using multiple npc look overhauls, change your loadorder, or make a
patch if you know what you are doing.

If it was an error in the creation of the mod, which is much rarer, you need to regenerate the
facegen, the face discoloration fix is essentially a regenerated copy of vanilla facegen files,
on the mod page for the discoloration fix is instructions on how to regenerate facegen files.

for me smr hit the nail on the head as Load order has always been enough for me and I've used Bijin with at least 2 other NPC overhaul mods plus many stand alone NPC mods all in the same load order. The order can vary depending on mods used even if you're only using but one overhaul mod like say for example Northbourne and only Northbourne. I see folks in his thread with purple hair issues and I'm guessing it's because they are listening to Loot which tells you to load the Hair mods AFTER which is wrong because Northbourne comes with it's own hair mods and you'd be overwriting them. Then to really get into the nitty gritty, again depending on which mods you are trying to make work, there's xEdit as smr pointed out.

Yeah Best to start small and become familiar with the entire process.

Actually, the purple hair issue in Northbourne's mods may in fact be due to issues on his end, in that certain assets may be missing (unless he has updated them recently) - as I have noticed them in my game, as well (and I do NOT make mistakes in my build) - but I just fix it on the fly with one of my hair replacer/wig mods.

In this case it was load order as I was able to duplicate the issue back when I read the comment of which another user also mentioned that in this case load order fixed it as well.

I always load my hair mods before Northbourne. It just works :steamhappy:

As SMR mentioned it's a lot of work. Even knowing the process, if you install too many NPC makeovers fixing it all in Xedit and Wryebash is a headache. Still it can be done, good that you were able to fix the problem in your build just by removing one mod. Bijin + one other major replacer mod usually works out without too many issues, but note that you can still have another mod later on with new NPCs have a blackface problem.
