Weird low buzzing sound, responds to movement
I've found a number of forums that talk about a buzzing sound, and have tried a lot of their fixes, such as lowering the Hz, verifying the cache, restarting the game, etc. (one fix slightly helps, which is to go in and out of beast form, which lowers the volume of the buzzing until I'm in a new loading area). But my buzzing seems weirder and is very persistent throughout any saves I load. When I click escape to go to my main menu, the buzzing disappears, but in my gameplay it returns. It also changes in pitch depending on how I move, or how my screen moves such as when I click tab and navigate the different areas like inventory or magic.

Is anyone else experiencing this out-of-nowhere buzzing, and have any suggested fixes? I want to reinstall my game as a very last resort, because I've seen people try it and also have it not help for other buzzing problems. My download speed is pretty garbage and I'd rather not reinstall.

Can you record an audio sample of this?

I'm gonna ask this just to be safe but i mean no insult.

The buzzing is definitely coming from your speakers and not the computer, right? I've seen people mistake computer fans for in-game sounds before.

Is it a wireless device? Any potential interference?

Are you using any mods?

Follow up. Does the buzzing get louder in 3rd person vs 1st?

If you go into first person and leave your character alone for a bit (Long enough to enter 3rd person and spin around the character) does the buzzing get louder?

Are you are your companion wearing Daedric Armour? I had in on Lydia the buzzing was driving me crazy.

I'm using headphones (no mic) and not speakers--I'm very very sure that the sound is coming from the game itself. It's not a wireless device, it's just wired headphones plugged into my computer tower. My setup really hasn't changed at all and the buzzing came out of nowhere as far as I can tell.

I'll try your first and third person comparison soon though--that sounds like it would be interesting, and I did notice today some times when the buzzing got to a low enough point to be negligible, and then come back.

Neither of us are wearing Daedric Armor (haven't encountered any yet either in my save), but that sounds like a weird bug!

Is the buzzing in other games too or just when you play Skyrim...?

I dunno if this is a very smart question or if I'm just dumb... I just booted up Elder Scrolls Online and the buzzing is there too, so apparently it's not a Skyrim issue. All I've been playing lately is Skyrim so I figured it wasn't a broader issue.

I tried the different camera angles just now and it didn't change anything for me. Also, some googling said that I might have interference that's called power cable interference, but I've organized my computer area and don't really understand how that could be happening. It seemed like the description though that best fit what the buzzing sounds like.

Depending on what kinda headset you're using, it's possibly a loose wire. Next step to fix / figuring out your issue is for you use a different output device (Switch to speakers). If the buzzing goes away, it's your headset. If the buzzing continues, it's something else.

Also, check your headset connection. Might be loose.

Grabs Straw.. Straw says, "remove all Overclocking" on mem , cpu , and gpu.

So, I really didn't do anything differently lately (had already checked my connections weren't loose, tried different headsets, reduced overclocking, etc.), but eventually the weird buzzing went away. I honestly still have no clue what the fix was because it seemed to go away when I didn't do anything. Just thought I'd let you guys know that it's technically been solved? The buzzing isn't there anymore but can't exactly explain why.

Well, at least it's gone. Hopefully stays that way.

Good luck!
