trying to use preset mods in AE... help

been trying for the past like what 4 hours to get this one preset to use, i download everything i need. but the SKSE64 keeps saying nah and idk what to do since i tried a lot of them, the one im trying to use has put out an update and people are using it just fine so am i just being stupid

Ah, yes. Racemenu presets are for faces (and like maybe overlays on the body) and hair.

is there a way i could get the .jslots since i dont have them from the download and how do i convert a .xml into a .jslot

I think you probably downloaded a Bodyslide preset and not a Racemenu preset. Bodyslide presets are in xml format. To use the preset you'll need to run Bodyslide and Outfit Studio, load the preset in the preset menu and then do a batch build for the body and any custom armors you've installed that are compatible with Bodyslide.

It looks like the Vortex installation for Bodyslide starts at about 18:50 for that video so you should start there.

i had a look, got it sorted, made the build. but now im confused as to where i place the file and how to use it in game

Are you referring to the xml file you downloaded or the Bodyslide output file from running a Batch Build in Bodyslide? If it's an output file then it needs to enabled in your load order. I'm using Mod Organizer for my mod manager and so I'm not familiar with how that is done with Vortex. In Mod Organizer I just give the output a name and checkmark it to enable it in my load order.

The BodySlide preset overwrites the body .nif files in Meshes folder. You don't have to place it anywhere. When you press build, it creates that body in the game.
