What the hell is going on in Rorikstead?
So it's obvious SOMETHING is wrong with this town. But what?
Why is everyone so secretive?
Why does every house have soul gems in it?
Why is that kid talking about learning secret magic?
How did the barren wasteland become so incredibly fertile?

Has anything ever been explained or is it all just speculation?

Unless you think it's 2017, that video has existed for more than 7 minutes. It's still just speculation.

Nope nothing to see here and there is nothing strange going on. Just a little farming community set up by Rorik. What's that? There was also a village on the same site called Rorik Steading earlier that disappeared? Just a coincidence.

They are definitely not cultists, and they definitely don't eat passing strangers in honour of Namira. Nope not at all

Wow this took a turn for the worse...
To answer Mike: videos like that one are the reason I started this topic. Youtube is filled with speculation and I wanted to hear the thoughts of the people on this forum and maybe hear if the devs ever said anything about it. So I watched the video before I started this topic.
