Game Crashing after tutorial Dungeon
Ever since updating to AE Skyrim, my game will crash as soon as i start walking to riverwood everytime after the tutorial dungeon. I have no mods installed and all my other saves wont seem to load either. Any help or advice would be helpful, thanks.

Although I have not experienced this issue myself the walk to Riverwood is not unusual for a crash in the sense that it is somewhat of a longstanding issue modded or Vanilla for some.

We need the usual info from you.

PC Specs
Loot sorted Load order

Although this is somewhat of an outdated list you should check it in the mean time as there are mods that should not be used in a load order. List

If you are using Loot your load order can be copied and pasted here in the thread by using the Ellipsis (3 vertical dots) in it's upper right hand corner.

If you're using Vortex there is a text version Loot sorted copy found here:
C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\loadorder.txt

For your PC specs go up top left side here in Steam and chose "Help" then "System Information" then copy and paste the info here.

Just a correction, LIlUzii, as to terminology. The update was to SE 1.6.323. That is all the update is - a new compiler for Special Edition. 1.6.323. As for Anniversary Edition, in actuality, there is no AE game - there is Special Edition with the Anniversary Edition bundle added on - but they are all considered SE. The only reason I mention this here, is because there is a lot of confusion and misunderstanfing in the forums (and not just the Steam one) as regards the proper terminology what is actually what.

Yes just like there is no "Oldrim" we coined it that as a distinction. I have a feeling AE is going to stick regardless of what we call it. But technically that is correct. No argument there.

But back to the issue for OP. Please read my initial post.

Your system is fine and similar to my system although you have a newer processor.

We both have a RTX 2070 GPU

1. Have you updated your Nvidia Drivers? https://www.nvidia.com/en-in/drivers/nvidia-update/

2. ALL Must have this file regardless of using mods or not:
This should have had this already installed with the latest update - but check it as sometimes it does not install properly:
Get Latest Version of Microsoft Visual C++ For SSE/AE HERE [docs.microsoft.com]
IF you already have Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 on your PC you'll get a prompt to "repair" the file so say yes to that prompt.

3. Verify the integrity of your game files thru Steam:
[SSE] How to verify integrity of game cache

Launch the game and if that does not help

We should also take care of the cloud issue:
Go to the section titled "Save Problems - Cloud / One Drive" in this guide:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2266129651

Also, it sounds like you were already playing on a game save you created before the update.
Go to your "Saves" folder for this game and tell me what size the folder is and what size your last few saves are and how many saves are inside. The folder is located here:
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Saves

I know you said you're not using mods, but are you running any third-party add-ons for Skyrim, such as ENB? Are you overclocking? Doesn't look like it, but try turning that off if you are. Also, don't undervolt or otherwise run your hardware out of spec until we can get the game running without crashes. Have you tried running any hardware monitors? Just to be on the safe side, you might also try a stress test. I don't want to unnecessarily worry you, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
