Cannot connect bethesda.net SERVER ERROR

as title says, why is it happening?

1 of 2 things are likely
1) You're currently experiencing problems with your own internet.
Or
2) The Bethesda server you have to connect to is experiencing problems or is currently down.
Either way, your only option really is to just wait and see.
If it persists for more than a day, then it's likely the 1st problem.

It's not 1st problem mate Bethesda have problem i have the same error.
I thinking of using Vortex all this is just a fail with outdated mods and they are not even good

Try using a virtual private network to access it.

It's bethesda, not you. I needed to reset my password and even that website isn't working. CC login isnt working. Mods are not working. Just bethesda being bethesda. You know, it just works.

Try removing your ini files in SSE's folder in "My Games"

Actually there was a report earlier today concerning some servers that amazon controlled if the CC or Bethesda is using one of these amazon services or the same server amazon does for access they may be offline or having issues for a while till its resolved.

Me too.... I thought it was just me.

Reinstalling the game. But I can see that might not fix it.

So close to actually start playing the game after 1.5 weeks of simply testing mods .... :(

Welcome to modding. Thing is it's actually worth it. I played the game unmodded for something like a few thousand hours before I decided to try mods way back in my Console days. Now Ican't go back to unmodded.

Mods adds a whole new layer of goodness. Plus I cant go back to vanilla hair do's !

It was the Amazon servers (AWS) that went down earlier that effected Bethesda and other game services.
