Suddenly "you don't have enough Magicka" notice when casting spells?
Basic heal spell is the only spell I've used so far, and I haven't had issues with it. But recently I keep getting "you don't have enough Magicka" notice, and I cannot cast. Why? Is this a known bug? Or am I missing another variable - perhaps I need to continue to increase Magicka as I gain levels? (I am currently level 26, and I am at the same Magicka I started out the game with.)

Needless to say, I am puzzled and frustrated, as I cannot heal any more after combat other than by using expensive potions. (I have a mod that disables auto health regeneration.)

Okay, weird. I can cast now after I slept. The logical inference is that I was under a debuff; but the effects section of the menu didn't show such a debuff?

If you are playing with Survival enabled, being tired debuffs your mana

So if you look at your resource bars you will notice they have different shading if you are tired, cold or hungry. The effects menu will show your status such as your cold, hungry or tired. I will have to look to be sure but I don't think they show in red like disease debuffs will they just have your state listed so it might be blending in with any other information like equipment buffs, potions and spell effects.

Being tired in survival mode drains your magicka a lot, but also if you want to be able to cast anything better than the basic spells from early game, you should probably try to increase your magicka a bit, yes.

The weird thing is that I didn't have survival mode on; I just had a mod that completely disables health regeneration and drastically reduces Magicka regeneration. But I had full Magica bar when I started casting; I tried it at various plays, too - including at home. So I wasn't cold or tired. But it only got fixed after I slept. Weird.

Hey Lampros, as an aside it's a good idea to check your "Active Effects" under Magic from time to time to see if anything is listed in red meaning a negative.
