Is Anniversary Edition a NEW GAME?
NO
IT'S THE SAME DAMN GAME RELEASED FOR THE 9TH TIME
9TH
Wake the hell up already
Anniversary is NEW dlc, not all of it but 26 of the 70 items were brand new never before released.
Placed on ignore.
For far more than it would cost to buy alone.
Again, if that's your thing, enjoy it.
I prefer my mods free, with the occasional donation to a good modder.
Question from OP was 'is it worth it'?
My short answer.
No. Go to Nexus for more content instead of bethesda bundles.
I still can't understand why it keeps being looked at as a either or sort of thing.
There is nothing to prevent these add-ons from functioning alongside non-curated content unless they alter exactly the same records or occupy the same space in the game world.
I don't like modding this game because I tend to prefer playing as the developer intended it to play, and testing what builds do the best. I do use quality of life mods like the Unofficial Patch, Sky UI, Alternate Start, and Open Cities.
But yeah, Anniversary Edition gives me an excuse to add new content without feeling like I'm cheating myself of an "authentic" skyrim experience.
regardless, even if you do buy AE and want to mod, there is a patcher available on Nexus to downgrade your version to the latest Skyrim Special Edition version that is compatible with most mods.
all depends on what you wanna do
