SMEFT for Wabbajack - Missing folder
Hi everyone,

I just installed SMEFT - Skyrim Modding Essentials (Fixes & Tools) via Wabbajack. While I follow a Youtube tutorial to install SMEFT("https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILu6v0egHVU&t=217s" by The Murloc King), I noticed the folder "Game Folder Files" is missing. Apparently, I need to copy its content to Skyrim Steam installed folder before to do anything else - 5'25" in the video.

Could you help me here? I do not know what to do as I am learning to install mods in Skyrim.

Cheers, Akbar

When it comes to Wabbajack, you really need to contact the pack creator since they are the one who created the pack and know what needs to be done as regards it.

However, for basic guides as to generally modding the game NOT using Wabbajack or Collections, but containing a lot of useful information none the less, see this:

Essential Guides for SSE

Contains links to most guides needed to get you up and running.
This is why I mistrust mod packs.... you can't fix them because you haven't developed the modding skills needed, and you haven't developed those skills because you've used a mod pack...

I would Recommend Vlad's guide for modding skyrim, found in the guides section, for a guide that will allow you to build the skills needed

Agree 100%. Mod packs might SEEM to be a 'quick and easy' way to add a bunch of mods, but that's fine if everything goes well. Mod packs created by someone on THEIR system might work just fine, but there's no guarantee they will work on others'. As alexander says, its better to mod the standard way, of modding one mod at a time, and troubleshoot any issues with each mod, should the need arise. I will never ever use mod packs.

Hi everyone, thank you for your answers. I will check these guides!

On Reddit. SMEFT author told me the GFF step is not required anymore. So all good :)
