MY ATTITUDE?! Read this thread, i ask a simple question and one dude comes here to make jokes on my expense then somebody comes and try to analyse my reasons instead of trying to help, this is always the case with steam forums i swear, 8 out of 10 times, and I've seen it with others too, even redditors have more sense!
LE works fine. Have problem with SE

LE works fine because it has a data file selection option in the launcher. It's not a bug that SE doesn't have the data selection option in the launcher, because there isn't one at all for SE. Bethesda got rid of it since it was redundant as everyone used a mod manager anyway.

Ok, so how you enable the mods that you just put in the game folder then?

Use a mod manager of your choice.
So there is literally no other way to do it?

There is also a in game mod manager, but imo it is carp compared to MO2 or Vortex.
Dear god, this trully is a broken crap game and more and more a waste of time lol. I wish microsoft would just decide to close bethesda once and for all. It's been enough.

I tried to use it but it told me to download a mod and then game crashed lol.
I just need to enable one mod for something it really shouldn't be so much of a hastle! I really do hope that Microsoft will close bethesda just like they have shut down bethesda launcher. Infuriating incompetence.
Ok, this is a fkn joke, I'm uninstalling, this not worth the hastle! Wanted to instal Alternate Start Live Another Life to not go through the prologue when starting a fresh game, because im tryint to fix a light poping up bug/desing flaw and i need clean install and fesh game each time i try to fix it. And now it says that i cant enable it because it depends on other files that arent present in the game! On fresh instal! Both the Alternate start i donwloaded manualy and the one from workshop! I had enough of this garbage. Wasted two hours of my life on this fk dis.

The Data Files menu option was removed by Bethesda. This was first removed from FO4 and carried over to Skyrim SE.

You could, technically, enable/disable mods (only those with an ESPs) by removing the asterisk from the "Plugins.txt" document in Users/[Name]/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition. Create a backup for each change.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that this is NOT recommended for manual mod management. It is best to use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2.
