Need help with Skyrim not launching due to ucrtbase.dll
I was playing Skyrim just fine today but then suddenly it wouldn't launch anymore. Every time I try to launch it, the application closes itself and Event Viewer reports that it's due to a faulty module called "ucrtbase.dll". I've tried every fix I can think of, including verifying the game files, uninstalling all my mods, running commands to check the .dll files through command center, reinstalling Visual C++ Redistributables, and installing ucrtbased.dll, but nothing has worked and I keep getting the same exact error message. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, have you figured it out?!

Try installing both versions of Visual C++ Redistributables
both x64 and x86

Already did that, 2015-2022 versions, but unfortunately hasn't worked.

Yeah that's what I did. I had the 2015-2019 versions installed, I uninstalled them, and installed the 2015-2022 versions of x64 and x86. Then did a restart and that didn't fix anything.

I understand. We need to make sure the new versions installed properly as they don't always do so and the "repair" function is faulty as well so we may as well make sure they installed properly.

OK, try uninstalling and reinstalling the C++

we need to know for sure that's not the issue.

OK, which years should I do that for? I have 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015-2022.

If not what was the last thing you were doing (if anything) before this happened? Installed Mods? Removed Mods? Were you in the Creation Kit lately?

The only other thing I can think of besides the Redistributable is clearing everything SSE related and starting clean.

I just reinstalled both 2015-2022 C++ files and that did not work.
The last thing I did before this problem started happening was test some mods. I had just gotten a bunch of new animation mods from ADRI on patreon and was going to try them out. I had been testing them gradually for almost an hour without any issues, opening and reopening the game like normal. For some reason, one of those times I reopened the game was when this problem started. I tried setting my load order back to what it was before I started testing mods and even tried disabling all of them, but nothing works.
