Why is there NOT a hide helmet option in Skyrim Special Edition?
You mean to tell me...In the year 2022, and even after the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, we DO NOT have an option to hide our helmets?

Please tell me there's a mod which lets me get away with doing so. Oh, and whatever you do, please don't say "Just take it off, noobster!" I have a will to survive...

Both armor skill trees have a perk that eliminates the use of helmets.
But finding a mod for it shouldn't be hard.

Yes. There is a mod for retaining the armour class of a helmet, yet making that helmet invisible. You simply have to have a regular version of the helmet, and you can create an invisible one. Invisible helmets can be tempered and enchanted, same as notmal ones. I've been using this mod for years, and it works great.

No, I can honestly say I don't mean to say that....

That said there are several mods that allow you to hide helmets, and of course you can take off the helmet and still easily hit the armour cap.

Also the year was 2011 when the game was released. It was simpler time and a simpler earth.

I have the invisible helmet ability in my current game. I'm guessing it's from JK's Skyrim or Open Cities.

Thank you, Lady Aeleanor!

It's good to know the Steam Community still has a few helpful WOMEN in this day and age. As for the men? Their non-helpful opinions are now irrelevant. ASSIMILATE THEM!!!!

You're welcome. Hope the mod works for what you're looking for! :cozyroe3:

Just an FYI ..... This only works on vanilla helmets in the game.

just play a nord they have a racial bonus to perma add a helmet armor rating as a result of being thick skull at the cost of a slight intelligence debuff which only matters if your a wizard or playing oblvion or prior TES games.

I don't know much or care much about the Steam award system thing, but this is the first comment I've read that was good enough for me to give an award. Congratulations you win Steam.
