Hendraheim House Crashes
Just wondering if anyone else is loading into a creation club house and having it instantly crash your game? Have followed all the steps for the bethesda support article 'my game is crashing / freezing ' and it hasn't fixed it. Never had a problem with all of my stuff in any other house, but this is my first creation club house. Thoughts? I dont get an error code, nothing significant like kernel panic registers in event viewer in windows. I'm quite tech savy, i work in IT, so i've done hours of diagnostics. I have only just submitted a ticket to Bethesda regarding this issue. Community advice is appreciated. And unfortunately i didn't make close enough manual saves for it to be efficient to backpedal. I just used quicksaves most of the time, dont be like me.

Try verifying files in Steam.
And redownloading the CC.

While this does not help you fix your issue, it does answer your question somewhat.

I tested every CC item in my game to see what i did and did not want to keep, including all the houses. I had no issues in any of them. That said, i did not expressly save and load a save while i was inside.

Same here, I went and checked them all out and did not have that issue and I did save and load in a couple of them. Try doing what Hazak suggests.

How do I remove items from CC that I do not want to keep in the game?

Mods? cloud? both can cause issues
And yes, manual saves are your friend. You have yet to prove it is the cc causing your issue. More likely issue is from somewhere else.
Too many background programs running?

Sounds like a mod conflict, none of the CC houses have crashed my game yet, although I did manage it once by piling a load of jewels in a display case in a hearthfire house...

I simply moved the CC items that i did not want from the data folder to a "backup" folder.
For example, if i did not want the arcane archer content, then i would drag ccbgssse002-exoticarrows.esp and ccbgssse002-exoticarrows.bsa to another folder.

While i have had no issues thusfar, some others have recommended caution when removing CC content as it is unknown on whether removing CC items could cause CTDs or other issues down the line. They also recommend using specific tools to do so.

Here's a link to a post by Vlad that touches on the subject.

Vlad's post includes links to the recommended tools, but he advising caution with regards to removing CC.

If you're not exactly sure which esp contains which CC content, you may wish to use the tools above for easier management.

I'm not running any other programs in the background that would cause either the CPU or GPU or RAM to be overloaded and crash the game. I have 16GB RAM, only 7GB is ever being used in total by the computer when I am running Skyrim. Skyrim is only using 2.1GB RAM before it crashes. As it is only a 32Bit game, it can't use more than 4GB Ram I believe, but I could be wrong. Either way there is plenty of room for my hardware to accommodate Skyrim. The CPU is never over 50% either.

I've tried all the steps with Bethesda's 'crashing/freezing' article and more. As this has never happened with any other house in the game that I've filled up with items, however Hendraheim is my first CC house ( i either used mods or the in game houses before) I think it is a CC issue, and lots of forums have said people are having similar issues with CC houses.

I'm still negotiating with Bethesda support regarding the issue and if I find a fix, I will post it here in the hopes someone else finds it useful.

Thank you for this, I will have a look. Of course, removing the house would delete all my collected items within, however, I could delete the file, and re-download it, and have it as a fresh house and then it would be useable. Then there's always the console to get my quest items back that I can't obtain again.

Oh yeah I wanted to do that, because it looks awesome but it is a surefire way to break your game. :D

Just an update with this; I managed to find the CC ESL/BSA file for hendraheim it's called cceejsse004-Hall and remove it, verify the local files, relaunch the game and re-download hendraheim within the CC. It did not fix the issue, it did not clear the house either. So clearly the house is full of stuff that is crashing the game.

It was a nice display of gems, until it crashed when I entered.... I really wanted to see a big pile of gems, just once or twice, was about a third of the way there....:steamsad:

Maybe some modder has made a pile of gems mod, it wouldn't look as pretty but it might not crash.

While building my load order and testing various mods, i often open the console command and give myself 100k gold. You know:
player.additem 0000000f 100000

And if i'm testing a new follower or any npc's appearance, i simply place a copy of that npc at my feet.
player.placeatme ######## 1

All works well until i accidently type

player.placeatme 0000000f 100000

BIG lag spike and then the game stops working...lol
